How do I get a director of account management job in Indianapolis?
Focus on Indianapolis's strongest hiring sectors: healthcare IT, logistics and supply chain, and B2B financial services, where director-level account management roles concentrate. The Keystone Crossing and North Meridian office corridors are home to a dense cluster of regional headquarters and midsize firms actively building account management leadership. Candidates who bring documented revenue retention results and experience managing enterprise client portfolios stand out in this market.

Are there remote director of account management jobs in Indianapolis?
Yes, though with limits, director of account management is a relationship-driven role, so fully remote positions are less common than in purely analytical fields. About 23% of director of account management openings tied to Indianapolis are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements being the dominant model. Strategic planning and reporting functions are most often handled remotely, while client-facing responsibilities typically require occasional in-person presence.
How can I get a director of account management job in Indianapolis with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is moving up through account executive or senior account manager roles at Indianapolis-based healthcare technology, SaaS, or logistics firms, where internal promotion to director is common. Companies along the North Meridian corridor and in Carmel frequently hire account managers with two to three years of experience and promote from within. Building a record of quota attainment and client retention in those roles is the most direct route to a director-level title locally.
