Responsibilities:
- Generate sales from leads and direct marketing
- Interpret blueprints to create load calculations and designs
- Estimate material amounts and the cost of labor
- Proficient in using CRM software, onscreen take-offs, and other sales tools
- Communicate directly with the customer/builder when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous sales experience, preferably in the construction industry, with the ability to be handed projects right away
- Microsoft Office suite proficiency for daily communication with the division
- Able to read blueprints
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with inspector guidelines and safety precautions
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to analyze the information
- Basic math skills
- Must be able to meet short deadlines and have a flexible work schedule
- Valid driver’s license to drive a company vehicle
Position requires a drug test and motor vehicle report to be completed, contingent upon employment.
Physical demands:
This role involves frequent travel and requires regular standing and walking at customer and construction sites. The employee may occasionally need to lift and carry product samples or materials weighing up to 25–30 pounds, climb stairs or ladders, and work in indoor and outdoor environments with varying weather, noise, and site conditions. The position also involves tasks that require sufficient vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to communicate effectively, review plans, and use computers and mobile devices.
