Director Of Delivery Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a director of delivery in Nebraska?
Reaching a director of delivery role in Nebraska typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or information technology, combined with progressive leadership experience in program or project management. Nebraska does not issue a state-specific license for this role, so employers weight credentials like the PMP from the Project Management Institute and demonstrated agile delivery experience heavily. Building a record of successfully delivered enterprise programs at Nebraska technology firms, logistics companies, or financial services organizations is the clearest path to a director-level title.
How much do director of deliveries make in Nebraska?
Director of deliveries in Nebraska earn a median of about $97,380 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $64,320 for the lowest 10% to over $147,110 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire director of deliverys in Nebraska?
Nebraska director of delivery roles are posted by Voyage Health, CommonSpirit Health, and HDR and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nebraska's concentration of financial technology, logistics, and defense technology employers in the Omaha metro makes it one of the more active Midwest markets for this seniority level.
Which Nebraska cities have the most director of delivery jobs?
Omaha, Lincoln, and Holdrege hold the most director of delivery openings in Nebraska. Omaha dominates because it is home to a dense cluster of Fortune 500 headquarters, major financial services companies, and large logistics operators, while Lincoln draws openings from state government technology initiatives and the University of Nebraska system, and Bellevue benefits from its proximity to Offutt Air Force Base and the defense technology contractors surrounding it.
Are there remote director of delivery jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, and they are more common than in many comparable leadership roles, since delivery directors primarily coordinate teams and manage programs rather than perform hands-on physical work. About 40% of director of delivery openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the broader shift toward distributed program leadership in technology and financial services. The portions of the role most likely to remain fully remote are agile coaching, vendor governance, and portfolio reporting.
How can I get hired as a director of delivery in Nebraska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a project manager or delivery manager role at a Nebraska technology services firm or financial institution first, then building toward the director level from there. Companies such as Fiserv and Union Pacific hire associate project managers and program coordinators who grow into senior delivery roles internally. Earning a PMP or an agile certification gives candidates with limited formal titles a concrete credential that Nebraska hiring managers recognize, and lateral moves from business analyst or operations manager positions are common stepping stones in this market.
