E-3 Visa Banking Manager Jobs
Banking Manager roles in the U.S. qualify as E-3 specialty occupations because they require a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Australian professionals can secure sponsorship without competing in the H-1B lottery, and the E-3 renews indefinitely with the same employer or a new one.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Banking Manager
Get your credentials assessed before applying
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees for E-3 purposes, but have a credentials assessment ready if your degree field doesn't map directly to the Banking Manager role in the job description.
Target banks with established LCA filing history
Large commercial banks, regional banks, and credit unions file LCAs regularly and have compliance teams familiar with the E-3 process. Employers who've sponsored before move faster and are less likely to stall at the offer stage.
Clarify the specialty occupation link early
The DOL requires the Banking Manager role to normally require a degree in a specific field, not just any bachelor's degree. Ask your prospective employer to confirm the job description specifies finance, accounting, or economics as the required discipline, not just 'a related field.'
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the LCA
The LCA must be DOL-certified before your consulate appointment, and errors in the prevailing wage or worksite details are a common delay. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so the process moves without gaps.
Negotiate who covers the visa fees upfront
E-3 sponsorship costs fall partly on the employer and partly on you. Clarify before you sign whether the employer covers the LCA filing, attorney fees, or both, so there are no surprises after the offer letter is issued.
Book your consulate appointment as soon as the LCA clears
E-3 visas are issued at Australian consulates in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth. Wait times vary, so schedule your appointment immediately after the LCA is certified rather than waiting until you have every other document finalized.

Find Banking Manager JobsBanking Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Banking Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Banking Manager roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. Most job platforms don't filter by visa type, so you end up contacting employers who've never heard of the E-3. Migrate Mate surfaces roles from employers with a history of sponsoring Australian professionals, cutting out that initial back-and-forth.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Banking Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position normally requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as finance, economics, accounting, or business administration. The key is that the job description must tie the degree requirement to a particular discipline, not just list 'a bachelor's degree in any field.' If the role involves credit risk, portfolio oversight, or regulatory compliance, that specificity is usually easy to establish.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Banking Manager roles?
The E-3 has a 10,500-visa annual allocation that has never been fully used, so there's no lottery and no random cutoff. H-1B registrations for Banking Manager roles are subject to the annual cap and lottery, meaning a qualified candidate can be shut out despite having a valid offer. For Australian nationals, the E-3 is a more reliable path to the same outcome.
Can I change banks or move to a new employer while on an E-3?
Yes, but the E-3 is employer-specific, so your new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll need a new visa stamp before re-entering the U.S. if you travel internationally. If you stay in the U.S. continuously, you can begin work with the new employer once the new LCA is certified and USCIS has received the updated filing, without waiting for a new stamp.
