E-3 Visa Benefits Manager Jobs
Benefits Manager roles in the U.S. typically require a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, making them strong candidates for E-3 visa sponsorship. Australian HR professionals can secure two-year renewable E-3 status without facing a lottery, provided their employer files a certified Labor Condition Application before the consulate appointment.

Our Mission
Reflection’s mission is to build open superintelligence and make it accessible to all. We’re developing open weight models for individuals, agents, enterprises, and even nation states. Our team of AI researchers and company builders come from DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Brain, Meta, Character.AI, Anthropic and beyond.
About The Role
Reflection's team is global, growing fast, and made up of some of the most sought-after talent in AI. The benefits programs we offer need to reflect that. We're looking for a Benefits Manager to own our global benefits function end-to-end — designing programs that are competitive, cost-effective, and genuinely valued by our team. You'll work closely with the Head of Total Rewards to build the strategy, then execute it yourself. This is a high-ownership role with real scope: you'll manage complex vendor relationships, lead renewals and open enrollment, and expand our programs as we enter new markets. If you've built world-class benefits at a high-growth company and want to do it again at a place building something consequential, this is the role.
What You’ll Do
- Own the design, administration, and ongoing management of global benefits programs across all markets where we operate.
- Lead annual benefits renewals, market benchmarking, and open enrollment processes — including planning, communications, system configuration, and employee support from start to finish.
- Manage relationships with brokers, consultants, insurance carriers, and benefits vendors — including contract negotiations and RFPs.
- Take programs to market proactively — running competitive RFP processes to evaluate vendors, benchmark offerings, and ensure we're getting the best value.
- Build and manage relationships with global benefits brokers and international partners, ensuring our programs are locally compliant and competitive in every market we operate in.
- Evaluate and recommend benefits offerings, wellbeing programs, and perks that support attraction and retention of top talent.
- Partner with the Head of Total Rewards to develop and evolve our global benefits strategy.
- Implement benefits programs in new countries as Reflection expands internationally.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex employee benefits questions and issues.
- Partner with People Operations, Payroll, and Finance to ensure seamless benefits administration.
- Track utilization, participation, and cost trends — and translate that data into clear recommendations.
- Develop employee-facing communications, education materials, and benefits resources.
- Ensure compliance with applicable benefits regulations and reporting requirements across jurisdictions.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8+ years managing employee benefits programs, ideally at high-growth technology companies.
- Deep expertise in U.S. benefits — medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement, and leave.
- Proven experience managing international benefits programs and working directly with global brokers and regional partners across multiple countries.
- Strong track record leading open enrollment end-to-end — from planning and communications through execution and employee support.
- Experience taking benefits programs to market — running RFP processes, evaluating vendors, and negotiating contracts.
- Experience managing brokers, carriers, consultants, and external vendors.
- Strong grasp of plan design, funding models, and cost management.
- Excellent project management skills and a bias toward execution.
- Analytically sharp — comfortable interpreting utilization, enrollment, and cost data to drive decisions.
- Clear, direct communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
- Able to balance employee experience, market competitiveness, and financial stewardship without losing sight of any.
- High ownership mindset; thrives with autonomy in fast-moving environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing international benefits programs across multiple countries.
- Experience supporting global expansion and benefits implementation in new markets.
- Experience working with PEO, EOR, and international payroll providers.
- Familiarity with Rippling, Sequoia, or similar benefits administration platforms.
- Experience conducting vendor RFPs and contract negotiations.
- Experience supporting highly competitive technical talent populations.
What We Offer
We believe that to build superintelligence that is truly open, you need to start at the foundation. Joining Reflection means building from the ground up as part of a small talent-dense team. You will help define our future as a company, and help define the frontier of open foundational models. We want you to do the most impactful work of your career with the confidence that you and the people you care about most are supported.
- Top-tier compensation: Salary and equity structured to recognize and retain the best talent globally.
- Health & wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
- Life & family: Fully paid parental leave for all new parents, including adoptive and surrogate journeys. Financial support for family planning.
- Benefits & balance: paid time off when you need it, relocation support, and more perks that optimize your time.
- Opportunities to connect with teammates: lunch and dinner are provided daily. We have regular off-sites and team celebrations.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Benefits Manager
Frame your Australian HR credentials precisely
U.S. employers assess whether your Australian three-year bachelor's degree maps to a specific field. A degree in HR management or business administration directly supports the specialty occupation requirement; a general arts degree with HR electives may not without supplementary experience documentation.
Target employers with self-insured benefits programs
Large employers that self-administer health, retirement, or disability plans rely heavily on a dedicated Benefits Manager and are more likely to sponsor E-3 visa status. Search for companies with over 500 employees that list plan administration or ERISA compliance as core responsibilities in the job description.
Search for E-3 sponsorship roles through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to connect with employers who have already sponsored Australian professionals, so your job search focuses on verified sponsorship-ready companies rather than roles where you'd be educating a recruiter about the E-3 from scratch.
Clarify the LCA timeline before accepting an offer
Your employer must file and receive a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL before you can attend your consulate appointment. DOL certifies most LCAs within seven business days, but confirm this with HR before committing to a start date so relocation timing aligns.
Distinguish your APRA knowledge as a credential gap
Highlight where your Australian superannuation and APRA compliance experience translates to U.S. ERISA and 401(k) plan oversight. Employers evaluating you against domestic candidates will want to see that you understand the structural differences and can operate within U.S. Department of Labor benefit regulations from day one.
Address dual-intent exposure during your consulate interview
Benefits Manager roles often attract long-term career interest, which consular officers may probe for immigrant intent. Prepare a clear explanation of your plans to maintain ties to Australia and understand that the E-3, unlike the H-1B visa, has no explicit dual-intent protection under the INA.
E-3 Visa Benefits Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Benefits Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface employers willing to sponsor Australian professionals on the E-3 visa. Rather than filtering through job boards where sponsorship willingness is unlisted, Migrate Mate matches you with Benefits Manager roles at companies that have either filed E-3 LCAs previously or have confirmed openness to sponsoring Australian candidates in HR functions.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Benefits Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field as a standard entry requirement. Roles that accept any degree or substitute years of experience without a degree requirement can fail the specialty occupation test. Review the job description carefully before applying to confirm the degree requirement is stated explicitly.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Benefits Manager roles?
The E-3 has a 10,500-slot annual allocation that has never been exhausted, so there is no lottery and no random selection risk. The H-1B requires entering an oversubscribed lottery, and most Benefits Manager applicants without a U.S. master's degree face selection rates well below 50 percent. For Australian nationals, the E-3 is a direct path that the H-1B cannot reliably replicate.
Can I switch employers while working in the U.S. as a Benefits Manager on E-3 status?
You can change employers, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you must attend a new consulate interview to receive a new E-3 visa stamp. There is no portability mechanism like the one available under AC21 for H-1B holders. Plan for a four to eight week transition window to allow for LCA certification and appointment scheduling before your new role begins.
