Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Asset Manager
Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
A three-year Australian bachelor's in finance or economics is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree, but get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved service before applying to confirm it meets DOL specialty occupation requirements.
Target asset managers with active LCA filing histories
U.S. financial firms that have filed Labor Condition Applications for asset management roles before are far more likely to sponsor again. Search DOL's OFLC disclosure database by SOC code 13-2099 to identify which employers have filed for similar roles recently.
Use Migrate Mate to find E-3 sponsorship roles
Most job boards don't filter by E-3 sponsorship willingness. Use Migrate Mate to search asset manager positions specifically posted by employers open to E-3 sponsorship, saving you from applying to roles where visa support isn't on the table.
Negotiate LCA filing timing before signing an offer
Your employer must file the LCA with DOL and receive certification before you can apply for your visa. Confirm this step is included in the offer timeline so your consulate appointment doesn't get delayed waiting on employer-side paperwork.
Clarify your CFA or CAIA status during screening calls
U.S. asset management firms frequently require or prefer CFA charterholder status. Proactively noting your CFA level or CAIA designation during early interviews signals credential alignment and reduces employer hesitation around your specialty occupation eligibility.
Handle your LCA and visa paperwork through a filing service
E-3 applications require a certified LCA, DS-160, and consulate preparation. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage the entire process from offer letter to consulate appointment so nothing gets missed between employer and the U.S. Embassy.

Find Asset Manager JobsAsset Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Asset Manager jobs in the U.S. with E-3 sponsorship?
Most major job boards don't filter by E-3 sponsorship willingness, so you'll end up applying to firms that won't support a visa. Migrate Mate lets you search asset manager roles specifically listed by employers open to E-3 sponsorship, which means every application you send is going to a company already prepared to file an LCA on your behalf.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does Asset Manager qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3 visa?
Yes, asset management qualifies as a specialty occupation when the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as finance, economics, or accounting. The job title alone isn't sufficient; the position description must demonstrate that a specific academic background is a minimum requirement, not just a preference.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Australian Asset Managers?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been exhausted, meaning no lottery and no random rejection. H-1B requires registration in a lottery where selection isn't guaranteed. For Australian asset managers, the E-3 is a direct path: secure a qualifying offer, your employer files an LCA with DOL, and you attend a consulate interview, typically within weeks of receiving your offer letter.
Can I switch asset management employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but you can't port an E-3 the way some other visa categories allow. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll generally need a new visa stamp before starting work, unless you're already inside the U.S. and your new employer initiates the process before your current status expires. Plan the transition timeline carefully with both employers involved.
