Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Marketplace Manager
Frame your degree for specialty occupation
Marketplace Manager roles sit at the intersection of business strategy and digital operations. Make sure your Australian bachelor's degree transcripts show a field-specific match, whether marketing, commerce, or information systems, before your employer files the LCA.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for companies that have filed LCAs for marketplace, platform, or e-commerce management roles. Employers already in the system understand the process and are far less likely to withdraw an offer mid-sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for LCA and consulate prep
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA submission, DS-160, and consulate preparation end-to-end. Errors in the prevailing wage determination or job duty description are the most common reasons E-3 applications stall.
Negotiate your start date around LCA certification
The DOL certifies most LCAs within seven business days, but your employer can't submit your visa application until certification is complete. Build at least two to three weeks of buffer between your accepted offer date and your proposed start date to avoid timeline pressure.
Address multi-channel scope in your role description
Marketplace Manager duties vary widely across retail, SaaS, and logistics platforms. Work with your employer to ensure the LCA job description reflects your actual responsibilities accurately. A vague or overly broad description can trigger a USCIS request for evidence at the consulate stage.
Use E-3 status to your advantage in interviews
Unlike H-1B candidates, you don't consume a lottery slot and can start within weeks of a certified LCA. When an employer raises visa concerns, explaining that the E-3 requires no lottery and no USCIS petition approval shifts the conversation from risk to timeline.

Find Marketplace Manager JobsMarketplace Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Marketplace Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. You can filter by job title and see which employers have E-3 filing history, so you're targeting companies that already understand the process rather than educating a recruiter from scratch.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Marketplace Manager role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the role genuinely requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as marketing, business administration, or a related discipline. The specialty occupation standard means the degree must be a normal requirement for the position, not just preferred. If the job posting says 'bachelor's preferred,' that can weaken your application. Make sure the offer letter and LCA job description both state the degree as required.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for a Marketplace Manager role?
The practical difference is significant. H-1B requires you to enter a lottery with roughly a one-in-four chance of selection, and you can only start on October 1 each year. The E-3 has no lottery, no annual cap that has ever been reached, and you can start as soon as your LCA is certified and your visa is stamped. For Marketplace Manager roles, which are common in tech and retail companies already comfortable with sponsorship, the E-3 is a faster and more predictable path.
Can I change employers after starting a Marketplace Manager role on an E-3?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA and your new employer must sponsor the role before you change jobs. The E-3 is employer-specific, so you can't simply transfer status the way some other visa categories allow. If you want to start with a new employer before your current E-3 expires, your new employer needs to complete LCA certification and you'll need a new visa stamp at a consulate before beginning work.
