Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship in Partner Executive
Frame your credentials for specialty occupation
Partner Executive roles must qualify as specialty occupations under E-3 visa rules, meaning your degree field needs to connect directly to the role. A business, commerce, or marketing degree paired with documented partnership or BD outcomes strengthens that case.
Target firms with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for employers who have filed LCAs for business development or partnership roles. Companies that have sponsored similar positions before already understand the process and are far less likely to withdraw an offer over visa complexity.
Address the LCA wage requirement proactively
Your employer must certify your offer meets the DOL prevailing wage for the role and location before your visa interview. Raise this early in salary negotiations so the LCA reflects an accurate, compliant figure rather than requiring an amendment later.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end support
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork. This keeps the process on track from DOL certification through consulate preparation, reducing the risk of delays that could push back your start date.
Negotiate your start date around visa processing
E-3 consulate appointments in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth currently have varying wait times. Build at least four to six weeks of buffer between offer acceptance and your proposed start date to account for LCA certification and appointment availability.
Prepare a clear nonimmigrant intent statement
Consular officers assess nonimmigrant intent for every E-3 applicant. Partner Executives often hold senior titles that can raise questions about long-term ties. Have a concise, honest explanation of your Australian professional and personal connections ready before your interview.
E-3 Visa Partner Executive: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Partner Executive jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. It surfaces Partner Executive positions at employers who have demonstrated willingness to sponsor, so you're not cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with the E-3 process. Searching through a general job board makes it much harder to filter for genuine sponsorship intent at this seniority level.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Partner Executive role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3 visa?
It depends on how the role is defined and what degree the employer requires. If the position demands a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, commerce, or marketing, it will typically qualify. Roles framed as general management without a field-specific degree requirement are harder to support. The employer's job description and your academic background both factor into the USCIS specialty occupation assessment.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Partner Executive roles?
The E-3 has a significant practical advantage: there's no lottery. H-1B visa registration enters a randomised draw with roughly a one-in-four chance of selection, meaning a qualified candidate can be locked out for a year or more. The E-3 has an annual cap of 10,500, which has never been reached, so eligible Australian nationals can apply year-round without lottery risk. Employers also tend to find the E-3 process faster and less costly to sponsor.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as a Partner Executive?
Yes, but the process starts fresh with each new employer. Your new company must file a certified LCA with the DOL and you'll need to attend a new consulate interview or, in some cases, apply for a change of status if you're already in the U.S. There's no portability provision like some other visa categories, so plan your transition timeline carefully to avoid gaps in authorised employment.
