Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Director Of Strategic Partnerships
Frame your degree for specialty occupation
Directors of Strategic Partnerships face scrutiny under the E-3 specialty occupation standard. Your Australian bachelor's degree must tie directly to the role, so document how your field of study connects to partnership strategy, revenue operations, or B2B business development.
Target companies with existing LCA filing history
Employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications before understand the DOL process and won't stall at the sponsorship stage. Filter your outreach toward organizations with demonstrated sponsorship infrastructure rather than pitching the concept cold to HR teams.
Address dual intent directly in interviews
The E-3 is a nonimmigrant visa, so interviewers at U.S. companies sometimes hesitate if they sense long-term immigration intent. Be prepared to explain your near-term work authorization plan clearly, separating sponsorship from any future green card conversation.
Get your LCA certified before resigning offshore
The DOL must certify your employer's Labor Condition Application before you can attend your consular interview. Don't book flights or give notice in Australia until LCA certification is confirmed, typically within seven business days of submission.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for offer stage
Once you have a signed offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This removes the burden from your new employer's HR team and reduces delays between offer acceptance and your consulate appointment.
Negotiate sponsorship terms before signing
Confirm in writing whether your employer covers the LCA filing, DS-160 fee, and any legal costs before you accept the offer. Partnership roles often come with flexible comp negotiation windows, so raise sponsorship cost allocation during that stage rather than after signing.

Find Director Of Strategic Partnerships JobsDirector Of Strategic Partnerships E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Director of Strategic Partnerships jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for E-3 eligible roles in the U.S. You can filter for Director of Strategic Partnerships positions at companies with sponsorship history rather than cold-applying and discovering a company won't sponsor mid-process. Focusing your search on employers already familiar with the E-3 saves weeks of back-and-forth.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Director of Strategic Partnerships role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific related field such as business administration, marketing, or communications. Roles where any background qualifies, or where the degree is listed as preferred rather than required, can create problems at the consulate. Your offer letter and job description should clearly state the degree requirement and field.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Australian professionals in this role?
The E-3 is available only to Australian citizens and has no annual lottery, unlike the H-1B which selects applicants by random draw. For a Director of Strategic Partnerships, this means you can apply any time of year once you have an offer, without waiting for a registration window or risking non-selection. Renewals are also indefinite in two-year increments.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 visa in a strategic partnerships role?
Yes, but your E-3 status is tied to your sponsoring employer. If you move to a new company, they must file a new LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp before re-entering the U.S. or a change of status if you remain in the country. There's no portability provision equivalent to the H-1B's AC21 rule.
