Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Senior Contract Manager
Translate your credentials for U.S. employers
Australian contract management qualifications, including AICD or CIPSA credentials, aren't always recognized by U.S. hiring managers. Frame your experience against U.S. contract law frameworks and reference FAR or UCC exposure where you have it.
Target employers with existing LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for companies that have filed LCAs for contract management or procurement roles. These employers already understand the process and are far less likely to withdraw an offer over E-3 paperwork.
Clarify the specialty occupation requirement early
Senior Contract Manager roles must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning the position requires a degree in a specific field like business, law, or supply chain. Confirm this with your prospective employer before accepting an offer to avoid complications at the LCA stage.
Get your LCA certified before scheduling your consulate appointment
The DOL-certified LCA must be in hand before you can file your DS-160 and book your visa interview. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so nothing delays your start date.
Negotiate your offer above the prevailing wage threshold
Your employer must pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for Senior Contract Manager roles in the job's location. Confirm the wage level in the LCA reflects your seniority, as Level I wages are frequently used by default and may understate your market rate.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent questions at the consulate
E-3 visas are nonimmigrant, so consular officers will assess your ties to Australia. Bring documentation of financial assets, property, family connections, or professional registrations that demonstrate intent to return after your authorized stay.

Find Senior Contract Manager JobsSenior Contract Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Senior Contract Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Most job postings don't advertise E-3 sponsorship by name, which makes filtering difficult on general job boards. Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals and surfaces roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship, saving you from cold-applying to companies that won't support the visa.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Senior Contract Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, in most cases. USCIS requires the position to normally require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. Senior Contract Manager roles typically require degrees in business administration, law, supply chain, or a related discipline. Roles where any degree is accepted regardless of field are harder to qualify, so the job description wording matters.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Senior Contract Manager positions?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so you can apply as soon as you have a job offer. The H-1B is subject to an 85,000-slot annual cap with a randomized lottery, meaning qualified candidates are frequently not selected. For Australian nationals in contract management, the E-3 is almost always the faster and more reliable path.
Can I switch employers after starting work on an E-3 as a Senior Contract Manager?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp if you travel internationally. If you're already in the U.S., you can start with a new employer once the new LCA is certified and the employer has the supporting documentation ready, though the timing requires careful coordination.
