E-3 Visa Technical Solutions Architect Jobs
Technical Solutions Architect roles qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship as specialty occupations requiring a relevant bachelor's degree, and unlike the H-1B, there's no lottery or annual cap to worry about. Australian professionals can secure two-year renewable status with a U.S. employer who files a Labor Condition Application before your consulate appointment.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Technical Solutions Architect
Translate your credentials for U.S. evaluators
An Australian three-year bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems satisfies E-3 specialty occupation requirements. Get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator before interviews so employers aren't guessing about equivalency.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search the DOL's public LCA disclosure data to confirm a company has filed Labor Condition Applications for solutions architect or similar technical roles. This is faster than cold-applying to companies that have never sponsored a work visa.
Clarify the SOC code your role will use
Ask hiring managers whether the role will be classified under Software Developers, Computer Systems Analysts, or another SOC code. The code determines prevailing wage levels and shapes whether the specialty occupation argument holds under DOL scrutiny.
Negotiate LCA filing into the offer timeline
The employer must file and receive a certified LCA before you can apply at a U.S. consulate. Build two to three weeks of LCA processing time into your start date conversation so approval isn't delayed waiting on DOL certification.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for complex cases
If your role spans multiple client sites or your degree is outside a traditional tech field, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork with a dedicated expert who knows how to document the specialty occupation nexus.
Prepare a degree-to-role narrative before your interview
Consular officers assess whether your degree directly relates to the solutions architect duties. Document how your academic background in systems design, architecture, or engineering applies specifically to the job description your employer provides.

Find Technical Solutions Architect JobsTechnical Solutions Architect E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Technical Solutions Architect jobs with E-3 sponsorship?
Use Migrate Mate to search for Technical Solutions Architect roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. Most general job boards don't filter by visa type, so you end up cold-applying without knowing whether a company has ever sponsored a work visa. Migrate Mate surfaces roles from employers with verified sponsorship history, saving you that guesswork.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Technical Solutions Architect role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as computer science, information systems, or engineering. The key is that a degree must be a standard entry requirement for the position, not just preferred. Roles with vague or generic degree requirements can face LCA challenges, so the job description wording matters.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Technical Solutions Architect roles?
For Australian nationals, the E-3 is substantially more practical. There's no lottery and no annual cap, so you can apply any time of year after receiving a job offer. H-1B registrations are subject to a randomised selection process with roughly a one-in-four chance of selection. Both visas require specialty occupation status and a certified LCA, so the employer's filing workload is similar.
Can I change employers or projects while on an E-3 as a Solutions Architect?
Changing employers requires your new employer to file a fresh LCA and for you to obtain a new E-3 visa stamp, typically at a consulate appointment. If your solutions architect role involves multiple client sites, each location may need to be listed on the LCA. Moving to a materially different role within the same company can also require an amended LCA filing.
