E-3 Visa Product Lead Jobs
Product Lead roles in the U.S. qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, making it far more predictable than H-1B. Australian product professionals can secure two-year renewable status as long as a sponsoring employer files an LCA with the DOL.

Company Description
It started with a simple idea: what if surgery could be less invasive and recovery less painful? Nearly 30 years later, that question still fuels everything we do at Intuitive. As a global leader in robotic-assisted surgery and minimally invasive care, our technologies—like the da Vinci surgical system and Ion—have transformed how care is delivered for millions of patients worldwide.
We’re a team of engineers, clinicians, and innovators united by one purpose: to make surgery smarter, safer, and more human. Every day, our work helps care teams perform with greater precision and patients recover faster, improving outcomes around the world.
The problems we solve demand creativity, rigor, and collaboration. The work is challenging, but deeply meaningful—because every improvement we make has the potential to change a life.
If you’re ready to contribute to something bigger than yourself and help transform the future of healthcare, you’ll find your purpose here.
Job Description

As a regional product manager in Digital, you will be a key leader in identifying needs and driving impactful changes that benefit our OUS customers in the development of our Digital Ecosystem. You will work across a broad set of partners including country commercial teams, regional marketing, local customers, and core product development BUs in order to develop well understood needs and whole product solutions.
You will work with cross-functional partners to identify needs; define and guide products through the development process; shape and guide the roadmap; and work with downstream teams for commercialization, evidence, and messaging. Your efforts will not just be limited to a single project/product (e.g., a digital feature) but also include broader ownership to address regional, business procedure, compliance, or market needs.
This is an individual contributor role which will be part of the OUS Expansion digital product management team. This will require international travel to multiple countries and the ability to step into a breadth of scenarios from surgical case observation to government/policymaker/administrator meetings.
-
Identify and navigate complex digital technologies, robotic platforms, clinical markets, or programmatic initiatives that bridge across business units and teams. Pull together teams to develop whole product solutions.
-
Capture, refine, and validate user needs with feedback from customers, the commercial team, and country data/privacy/legal teams. Use qualitative and quantitative market research methods and direct customer interviews and observations to develop deep insights.
-
Establish design requirements, prioritize design efforts, navigate tradeoffs, and document and communicate design decisions. Be a credible partner who works deeply with product development teams.
-
Develop downstream claims and clinical evidence strategies to show programmatic evidence that upstream needs are being met.
-
Significantly contribute to the product roadmap and lifecycle management in alignment with the portfolio objectives. Develop business justification for recommendations and gain alignment across key stakeholders on project prioritization.
-
Collaboratively develop global product commercialization plans and global/regional messaging with global portfolio marketing, regional marketing, and commercial teams.
-
Work with product engineering, clinical engineering, competitive insights, and business development teams to evaluate new technologies and prioritize the new business development pipeline.

Intuitive is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants and employees, and prohibit discrimination and harassment of any type, without regard to race, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, color, age, religion, protected veteran or disability status, genetic information or any other status protected under federal, state, or local applicable laws.
U.S. Export Controls Disclaimer: In accordance with the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (15 CFR §743.13(b)), some roles at Intuitive Surgical may be subject to U.S. export controls for prospective employees who are nationals from countries currently on embargo or sanctions status.
Certain information you provide as part of the application will be used for purposes of determining whether Intuitive Surgical will need to (i) obtain an export license from the U.S. Government on your behalf (note: the government’s licensing process can take 3 to 6+ months) or (ii) implement a Technology Control Plan (“TCP”) (note: typically adds 2 weeks to the hiring process).

If applicable, candidates will be notified and instructed on any requirements for these purposes.
We will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with fair chance laws.

This position may be filled at a different job level than listed here depending on business need and/or on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge and skills. Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the candidate’s qualifications, consistent with applicable law.
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target compensation ranges are listed.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Product Lead
Frame your degree for specialty occupation
Product Lead roles must meet the DOL's specialty occupation standard. A degree in computer science, business, or information systems maps cleanly. If yours is in an unrelated field, document how your coursework directly supports product strategy and technical oversight.
Target companies with existing LCA filings
Search the DOL's Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for employers who have already filed LCAs for product or program management roles. These companies understand the E-3 process and won't need convincing that sponsorship is feasible.
Get your LCA certified before accepting an offer
The LCA must be filed with the DOL and certified before you can attend your consulate appointment. Confirm your employer knows this and has the process underway. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so nothing stalls the timeline.
Verify your employer can cover prevailing wage
The LCA requires your employer to certify your offered salary meets the DOL prevailing wage for the Product Lead role in the work location. Check the DOL's Online Wage Library for the applicable wage level before the offer stage to avoid surprises.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent questions at the consulate
E-3 is a nonimmigrant visa, so consular officers will ask about your ties to Australia and your intent to return. Have concrete answers ready: property, family, ongoing financial commitments. Vague responses are the most common reason for administrative processing delays.

Find Product Lead JobsProduct Lead E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Product Lead jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. Rather than filtering general job boards manually, you can search by role and see which employers have an active history of sponsoring E-3 or similar specialty occupation visas, saving significant time in the targeting stage.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Product Lead role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, Product Lead positions typically qualify because they require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as computer science, business, or a related discipline. The DOL and USCIS evaluate the specific job duties listed in the LCA, so your employer's job description must reflect the degree requirement explicitly rather than treating it as a preference.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Product Lead roles?
Both visas cover the same specialty occupation standard, so a Product Lead role qualifies under either. The practical difference is that the E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, while H-1B registrations are entered into a random selection each March. For Australian nationals, the E-3 offers a predictable timeline that H-1B cannot guarantee, and employer costs are lower.
Can I change employers after I have an E-3 as a Product Lead?
Yes, but your E-3 status is tied to a specific employer and approved LCA. If you change companies, your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp before re-entering the U.S., or a change of status if you're already onshore. There is no portability provision like the one available under H-1B.
