Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Oracle Developer
Align your degree to Oracle specialisations
Your Australian bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems directly supports an E-3 specialty occupation claim. If your degree is in a broader field, document your PL/SQL, Oracle DB, or APEX coursework explicitly to strengthen the employer's LCA submission.
Target employers with existing Oracle contracts
Federal agencies and large financial institutions running Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud, or Oracle Fusion environments file LCAs regularly for this role type. Search DOL's FLAG portal to verify which employers have certified Oracle Developer positions before reaching out.
Request a written specialty occupation justification
Ask your prospective employer to confirm the role requires a degree in a specific technical discipline, not just any bachelor's degree. Vague job descriptions that accept any field of study can trigger USCIS scrutiny on the specialty occupation determination during the visa application.
File your LCA before booking your consulate slot
DOL must certify the LCA before you can schedule your Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth consulate appointment. Processing typically runs seven business days, so confirm your employer has submitted and received certification before you request interview dates.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end preparation
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork. This removes the coordination burden from your employer and reduces the risk of documentation errors that delay or complicate consulate approval.
Clarify Oracle certification requirements with your employer
Some Oracle Developer job postings list OCP or OCE certifications as requirements rather than preferences. If the employer treats certifications as substitutes for a degree, confirm how they plan to document specialty occupation status for your LCA and DS-160 application.

Find Oracle Developer JobsOracle Developer E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Oracle Developer jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search Oracle Developer roles filtered specifically for E-3 visa sponsorship, so you're not sifting through listings from employers unfamiliar with the visa. Searching by role and visa type surfaces companies already prepared to file the LCA and support your consulate application as an Australian national.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Oracle Developer role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical field such as computer science, information systems, or software engineering. Generic developer roles that accept any degree field can face scrutiny. Your employer's LCA and job description must establish that a theoretical and practical body of specialised knowledge is required.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Oracle Developer roles in the U.S.?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been exhausted, meaning there's no lottery and no random selection. The H-1B runs an oversubscribed lottery each March with no guarantee of selection. For Australian Oracle Developers, the E-3 offers a direct, predictable path to U.S. employment that the H-1B cannot match.
Can I change Oracle Developer roles while on an E-3 in the U.S.?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp if you travel outside the U.S. after changing jobs. If you stay within the U.S., you can begin working for the new employer once their LCA is certified and all supporting documents are in order, without waiting for a new consulate appointment.
