Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Vendor Manager
Align your degree to procurement specializations
Consular officers assess whether your degree field matches the role. A supply chain, business administration, or operations management degree supports a Vendor Manager application more directly than a general arts qualification, even with strong work history.
Target employers with active DOL LCA filings
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for companies that have filed LCAs for Vendor Manager or Procurement Manager roles. Prior filings signal that HR and legal already understand the E-3 visa process.
Clarify specialty occupation status before negotiating
Not every Vendor Manager posting qualifies as a specialty occupation. Confirm the role requires a degree in a specific field, not just any bachelor's degree, before accepting an offer. Roles with vague requirements can complicate your LCA filing.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your LCA
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork. The LCA must be DOL-certified before your consulate appointment, and errors at this stage can delay your start date significantly.
Address third-party worksite situations early
Vendor Managers sometimes work across multiple supplier or client sites. If your role involves off-site work, your employer needs to document the primary worksite on the LCA. Resolve this before filing, not after your interview.
Prepare sourcing metrics as specialty occupation evidence
If a consular officer questions whether your role qualifies, concrete evidence helps: procurement portfolios, contracts managed, and supplier negotiation outcomes demonstrate that the position requires specialized knowledge, not just general business skills.
E-3 Visa Vendor Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Vendor Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Use Migrate Mate to search Vendor Manager roles filtered specifically for E-3 visa sponsorship. Most general job boards don't distinguish between visa types, so you can spend weeks applying to roles where the employer has never sponsored an E-3. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with relevant sponsorship history so your applications go where they're likely to be considered.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Vendor Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, in most cases, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as supply chain management, business administration, or operations. The role must not be one where any degree suffices. Job descriptions that specify a field-specific degree and involve strategic supplier oversight, contract negotiation, and procurement planning typically meet the specialty occupation standard.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Vendor Manager roles?
The E-3 has no lottery, no annual cap, and is available year-round exclusively to Australian citizens. H-1B visa petitions are subject to an annual lottery with a roughly 25% selection rate for most applicants. For a qualified Australian professional with a Vendor Manager job offer, the E-3 is a significantly more reliable path to U.S. work authorization than waiting on H-1B selection.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as a Vendor Manager?
Yes, but you can't simply transfer your existing E-3 status to a new employer. The new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need to attend a new consulate appointment if you're outside the U.S., or file for a change of status if you're already here. Plan for at least four to six weeks between offer and start date to complete this process.
