Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Order To Cash
Frame your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
Your Australian three-year bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 specialty occupation purposes. Have your transcripts ready to show degree-to-role alignment before interviews begin.
Target companies with active LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for employers who have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for Order To Cash or finance operations roles. Past LCA filings signal an employer already understands the E-3 sponsorship process.
Find E-3 sponsored OTC roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork once you have an offer. Migrate Mate's job board surfaces employers actively open to E-3 sponsorship, cutting the time you spend cold-approaching companies unfamiliar with the visa.
Clarify specialty occupation standing before accepting
Not every OTC role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Confirm the job description explicitly requires a degree in finance, accounting, or a directly related field, not just any bachelor's degree. Generalist roles without degree-field requirements can create LCA certification problems.
Request employer action on the LCA before you resign
Your employer must file the Labor Condition Application with DOL and receive certification before your E-3 visa application can proceed. Build at least two to three weeks of LCA processing time into your start date negotiation so the timeline doesn't catch both sides off guard.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent questions at the consulate
E-3 is a nonimmigrant visa, so consular officers assess whether you intend to return to Australia. OTC professionals can address this directly by referencing an Australian-based employer relationship, ongoing professional ties, or a defined contract term in their role documentation.

Find Order To Cash JobsOrder To Cash E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Order To Cash jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Order To Cash roles where employers are already open to E-3 sponsorship. Beyond that, filtering DOL LCA disclosure data for finance operations job titles shows which companies have filed for similar roles before. Targeting employers with prior E-3 or H-1B filing history for OTC positions reduces the friction of educating hiring managers about the visa from scratch.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Order To Cash role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as accounting, finance, or business administration. Roles focused on billing operations, accounts receivable management, collections strategy, or revenue cycle analysis typically meet this standard. Roles where any degree suffices regardless of field are harder to certify. The job description's degree requirement is the deciding factor, not the job title alone.
How does the E-3 visa compare to H-1B for Order To Cash professionals?
The E-3 visa has a 10,500 annual allocation exclusively for Australian nationals and has never been oversubscribed, so there is no lottery. H-1B registrations regularly exceed 400,000 for 85,000 available slots, meaning selection is not guaranteed even for qualified candidates. For OTC professionals who are Australian citizens, the E-3 removes the lottery risk entirely and allows the employer to begin the LCA and consulate process as soon as an offer is extended.
What documents does my employer need to sponsor me for an E-3 in an OTC role?
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL certifying that the role meets prevailing wage requirements and that hiring you won't adversely affect local workers. Once DOL certifies the LCA, you attend a consular interview in Australia with the certified LCA, a letter from your employer detailing the role, your academic credentials, and a completed DS-160. Your employer does not file anything with USCIS for consular E-3 applications.
