Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Finance Administrator
Translate your Australian credentials clearly
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree in accounting or finance satisfies the E-3 degree requirement, but your employer and the consular officer need to see the equivalency. Bring academic transcripts and a credential evaluation letter to remove any doubt at the interview.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to find companies that have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for finance roles. Prior LCA filings signal a finance team already familiar with the E-3 sponsorship process.
Find Finance Administrator roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to search Finance Administrator openings filtered by E-3 sponsorship history. It surfaces employers who have filed for Australian workers before, cutting out the guesswork of cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with the visa.
Clarify the job description matches specialty occupation
Finance Administrator roles must require a degree in a specific field, not just any bachelor's degree, to qualify as a specialty occupation. Before accepting an offer, confirm the job description specifies finance, accounting, or business administration as the required discipline.
Start the LCA before your start date
Your employer must file and receive DOL certification of the Labor Condition Application before you can attend your visa interview. Build at least two to three weeks of LCA processing time into your offer timeline so your consulate appointment isn't delayed.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end preparation
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork from start to consulate appointment. This is especially useful for Finance Administrators whose offers include complex compensation structures that require accurate prevailing wage documentation.

Find Finance Administrator JobsFinance Administrator E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Finance Administrator jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Finance Administrator roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. It filters opportunities by visa type and surfaces companies with prior LCA filing history for finance roles, so you're not spending time applying to employers unfamiliar with the Australian visa process.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Finance Administrator role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as accounting, finance, or business administration. Roles where any degree field is accepted, or where the degree is listed as preferred rather than required, may not meet the specialty occupation threshold. The job offer letter and description need to reflect the specific degree requirement clearly.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Finance Administrator roles?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and has no annual cap, so there's no lottery and no registration window. An H-1B requires entering a randomised lottery held once a year, and selection isn't guaranteed. For a Finance Administrator with Australian citizenship, the E-3 is a direct path to employment without the uncertainty that comes with H-1B registration.
Can I change Finance Administrator roles while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll typically need a new visa stamp if you travel internationally after the job change. If you're changing roles without leaving the U.S., you can begin working for the new employer once the LCA is certified and the new employment is in place, though the exact requirements depend on your specific situation.
