Mid Level Education Program Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level education program manager job?
Highlight direct program ownership, not just participation. Employers at this level want to see that you managed a program lifecycle, coordinated with external partners or funders, and made decisions independently. Tailor your resume to show measurable outcomes, such as enrollment growth, completion rates, or budget adherence, and frame your cover letter around the specific population or content area the employer serves.
Which companies hire mid level education program managers?
Companies hiring mid level education program managers right now include Emory Healthcare, Emory University, and Creighton University, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a broad range of organizations, including school districts, nonprofits, edtech companies, universities, and workforce development agencies.
Are there remote mid level education program manager jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by sector. About 13% of mid level education program manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with fully remote roles most common in edtech, workforce development, and national nonprofit organizations. Roles tied to in-person instruction or site-based community programs tend to require on-site presence.
How do I move up to a mid level education program manager role?
The path from entry level to mid level typically involves taking on ownership of a discrete program or initiative rather than supporting someone else's work. Building that record means managing a project budget, leading a small team or volunteer group, and generating outcome data you can speak to. Deepening expertise in a specific population, subject area, or funding type, such as Title I, workforce grants, or adult education, also signals readiness for mid level responsibility.
Which industries hire the most mid level education program managers?
Mid Level education program manager roles concentrate in Education, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they depend on structured program delivery, grant accountability, and ongoing curriculum or training development that requires experienced coordinators rather than entry-level staff.
