Job Overview

SC Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to join our growing team. This position will lead electrical engineering projects from initial concept through construction administration and closeout while remaining actively involved in design, coordination, and technical review.

The ideal candidate is an experienced electrical design professional who can successfully lead project teams, communicate with clients, mentor younger engineers and designers, and contribute directly to the development of high-quality construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical engineering projects from initial concept through construction administration and project closeout.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and coordinate project requirements, schedules, deliverables, and design-related matters.
• Lead electrical project teams and coordinate design responsibilities among engineers and designers.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Develop and oversee electrical system designs, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
• Prepare, modify, and review electrical construction drawings using Revit.
• Review and redline drawings, specifications, calculations, and other technical documents for accuracy, completeness, coordination, and code compliance.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, civil, and other project disciplines.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers to obtain technical information and confirm design compatibility.
• Participate in client meetings, internal project meetings, and multidisciplinary design coordination meetings.
• Perform site visits, field surveys, and existing-condition investigations as required.
• Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, field conditions, and other design-related issues.
• Promote quality, consistency, and adherence to company design standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant electrical design and project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required.
• Demonstrated experience leading electrical engineering and design teams.
• Strong experience mentoring engineers and designers.
• Strong knowledge of electrical building systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
• Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes, building codes, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in Revit with the ability to actively develop, modify, and review electrical construction drawings.
• Experience reviewing and redlining drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Experience coordinating electrical designs with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality and schedule requirements.

Pay: $95,265.79 - $130,000.00 per year
