Repair Technician (Consumer Electronics)

Full-Time | Hourly | $1,000 Sign‑On Bonus for Full‑Time Hires

(Responsibilities)

• Utilize state-of-the-art tools to Inspect, triage, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of consumer electronics (smartphones, laptops, tablets, wearables, AV gear)
• Disassemble, reassemble, repair or replace defective components, wiring, connectors, flex cables, and electronics modules using hand tools, precision instruments, and diagnostic tools
• Perform firmware/software updates, re-flashing, calibration, signal test, and diagnostic validation
• Track repair workflow and device status using our internal warehouse and repair management systems
• Maintain rigorous quality standards — ensure all repairs meet or exceed operating tolerances
• Collaborate with cross‑department teams (logistics, quality, engineering) to monitor defect trends and escalate root‑cause issues
• Stay current on industry developments, device internals, new tools, and emerging repair techniques
• Follow workplace safety protocols and “repair best practices” to protect devices, data, and team

(Qualifications & Ideal Traits)

• Proven experience in electronic repair (mobile, laptop, tablets, etc.) — must be comfortable diagnosing, soldering, testing and component-level work
• Certification(s) are a huge plus: WISE Level 2, OEM mobile certifications (Apple, Samsung, Motorola, etc.)
• Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals (signal integrity, microcontrollers, RF basics, power circuits)
• Comfortable using multimeters, oscilloscopes, microscopes, and related test equipment
• Basic-to-moderate software/firmware knowledge (firmware flashing, OS repair, diagnostics)
• Analytical thinker, detail-oriented, high sense of urgency — capable of working independently and taking ownership
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills; ability to document work clearly
• High school diploma / equivalent; further technical schooling or certifications advantageous
• Preferred: bilingual (English/Spanish)

Base Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
