DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Lead and direct manufacturing engineering operations to maintain/enhance “Best in Class/World Class” performance through implementation of key initiatives and strategies.
- Ensure relevant corporate/regional engineering procedures and policies are in place to insure proper and consistent engineering developments
- Ensure compliance to internal and external regulatory entities.
- Provide effective reporting for accountability to performance goals and provide accurate data analysis to help drive decisions to present to management to support existing/new initiatives.
- Provide support to regional operations/marketing/sales departments to ensure that existing/new product needs are met in an expeditious manner.
- Contribute and/or develop/maintain business continuity plans for manufacturing operations.
- Enhance/develop/make recommendations/execute plans to take advantage of opportunities for new innovative processes/technology/systems.
- Assure Engineering projects and capabilities are adequate to support the activities and needs of Herbalife Manufacturing and Operations
- Lead all aspects of and drive the Capital Investment plan for the WS site
- Support WS Facility 5-year plan objectives
- Coordinate EHS team and initiatives for WS site
- Perform additional duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualifications:
- Organizational/Motivational leadership skills coupled with strong technical and analytical ability
- Problem solving abilities for short and long term resolution
- Strong manufacturing / operational skills with the ability to understand formulations/process/procedures
- Ability to educate others in Engineering methodologies
- Strong customer service with result driven orientation including follow through on plans/programs
- Ability to function as an effective team leader and/or member
- Ability to adapt as the function and organization evolves/changes. Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate during continuous change
- Willing to travel
- Sound judgment with effective technical/operational focus
Experience:
- 12+ years’ experience of relevant manufacturing/ management experience
- Experience and proficiency in Engineering operations management environment
- Working knowledge of materials/process/equipment i.e. characterization/effect on manufacturing environment
- Experience in Food/Dietary/Nutritional/Pharmaceutical kindred product industries with working knowledge of cGMP other regulatory environments
- Production/Process/Equipment troubleshooting/optimization abilities
- Building Upgrades and Facility Expansion projects
- Developing/writing/revamping procedures
- Establishing engineering systems and organizations
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical, Chemical, or Pharmaceutical Engineering or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Lean/Six Sigma enterprise experience/practical knowledge
- Establishing manufacturing systems and organizations
- Experience in overseeing Operations and/or Manufacturing activities
- Experience with engineering integration/cultural change
- Advanced Engineering degree
- MBA
