Ready to be a Titan?
ServiceTitan is the leading software platform for the trades — powering the businesses that keep the world running. Over 50,000 professionals depend on our software for their daily operations, and our engineering organization is the engine behind that scale. We use the most modern tools on the Microsoft .NET platform, care deeply about craft, and love solving complex problems.
We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to build, lead, and manage a high-performing engineering team within our Platform & Infrastructure organization. Depending on organizational need and your background, this role may focus on one or more of our core platform areas: Infrastructure & SQL Reliability, Developer Experience (DevEx), or APEX Tooling & Platform. Across all three, you will own team performance, delivery, technical direction, and long-term growth — while partnering closely with engineering and product leadership to ensure your team's goals align with company objectives.
What You'll Do
Hire, manage, and develop a team of software engineers — own their performance, processes, priorities, and long-term career goals
Drive the execution of your team's quarterly roadmap: break down goals into clear, measurable milestones and deliver on time with high quality toward business outcomes
Stay technically engaged — participate in design and code reviews, contribute to architecture decisions, and help engineers make sound technical tradeoffs
Identify and drive organizational improvements through close partnership with other Engineering Managers, Directors, and cross-functional stakeholders
Partner with product, SRE, security, and domain engineering teams to define platform contracts, close delivery gaps, and align on reliability, velocity, and cost goals
Communicate effectively across the engineering and R&D organizations — translate technical complexity to non-technical audiences and represent your team's needs to leadership
Build and improve the tooling, infrastructure, or reliability systems your team owns — ensuring observability, adoption, and impact are visible and measurable
Own the toolchain, platform, or reliability strategy for your area from local development through production, and communicate that strategy clearly to the broader engineering organization
Foster a culture of open communication, high ownership, and continuous improvement — where engineers feel invested in the team's success and empowered to take initiative
Depending on your area of focus, your team may own:
Infrastructure · SQL Reliability & Observability
SQL and database reliability across Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Redis, and Kafka — including query performance, HA/DR, capacity planning, and replication
A unified observability platform leveraging OpenTelemetry with end-to-end correlation from mobile through API, backend, and database layers
Proactive monitoring, synthetic testing, SLO/SLI frameworks, and AI-assisted anomaly detection and debugging systems
Developer Experience (DevX)
Cloud development environments, on-demand provisioning, high-fidelity mocking, and configuration management
Build parallelization, remote caching, automated test-splitting, secure pipelines, and zero-downtime progressive rollouts
An internal developer portal providing Golden Paths, automated service scaffolding, and centralized API/service catalogs
DORA metrics, build telemetry, local-to-production feedback loops, test flakiness analysis, and infrastructure cost tracking
APEX · Tooling & Platform
Tools, libraries, and frameworks that improve development velocity, expand test coverage, and enable reliable automated coverage across functional, acceptance, performance, security, and disaster-readiness dimensions
CI/CD tooling, version control integrations, and deployment pipeline strategy across the engineering organization
Close partnership with feature engineering teams to identify and close technical gaps in our ability to deliver software at quality and at scale
What You'll Bring
6–8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing small to medium-sized engineering teams responsible for development, platform tooling, or infrastructure
Proven track record delivering high-quality software at scale — with strong ownership of team performance, processes, and long-term engineering goals
Technical depth in one or more of: database reliability and distributed systems, CI/CD and build infrastructure, or internal developer platform tooling
Hands-on technical engagement — comfort reviewing designs, reading code, and participating in architecture discussions; this is not a purely coordinative role
Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure preferred), infrastructure tooling (Kubernetes, Docker), and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, version control, deployment systems)
Experience with observability platforms (metrics, logs, tracing), performance engineering, or test automation frameworks is a strong plus depending on team alignment
Excellent cross-functional communication skills — you can align stakeholders, navigate competing priorities, and translate technical topics for non-technical audiences
Ability to turn ambiguous strategy into sequenced roadmaps, clear ownership, and measurable outcomes
B.S., M.S., or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Senior Level Engineering Senior Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level engineering senior manager job?
Candidates who land senior level engineering senior manager roles typically demonstrate a history of owning complex engineering programs end-to-end, not just contributing to them. Employers at this level look for evidence of cross-functional leadership, the ability to align engineering work with business objectives, and a record of developing other engineers. Highlighting specific outcomes you drove, teams you built, and technical decisions you owned will set your application apart.
Which companies hire senior level engineering senior managers?
Companies hiring senior level engineering senior managers right now include Affirm, Apple, and Amazon, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from large enterprises scaling engineering organizations, growth-stage technology companies building out management layers, and industrial or infrastructure firms with complex, multi-team delivery needs.
Are there remote senior level engineering senior manager jobs?
Yes, though remote availability varies by industry and employer. About 30% of senior level engineering senior manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting demand from technology and software companies that have normalized distributed leadership. On-site roles remain common in manufacturing, defense, and infrastructure sectors where proximity to facilities or teams is part of the job.
What makes an engineering senior manager role senior level?
A senior level engineering senior manager role is defined by the scope of ownership, not just the size of a team. These roles require setting technical direction for major programs, making decisions that affect multiple teams or product lines, and mentoring managers and senior individual contributors. Where a mid-level manager executes within a defined strategy, a senior level manager is expected to shape that strategy and be accountable for the organizational outcomes that follow.
