INTRODUCTION
Terracon is looking for curious minds to join us as an Environmental Project Manager. This is a mid-level position that will help support the growing needs of our service line in Minnesota. You will be responsible for managing subsurface investigations, soil vapor assessments, and remedial actions on behalf of our diverse client base. This position would also be responsible for helping senior staff develop new client relationships and maintaining our existing client base.
Work with a team of professional experts in our Site Investigation/Remediation department and collaboratively work on dynamic projects with colleagues and clients to ensure work is executed on time and within budget. Our offices are conveniently located in both Plymouth and St. Paul with a flexible working environment.

ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with proposal preparation and RFP/RFQ responses. This involves liaising with internal due diligence staff, Terracon National Account Managers and/or clients with inquiries for services.
- Collaborate with other service lines (e.g., geotechnical, facilities, compliance) for cross-selling opportunities.
- Manage subsurface investigations (Phase II ESAs, Limited Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations) to evaluate soil, groundwater and soil vapor.
- Manage remediation projects that involve soil, groundwater and/or soil vapor response actions.
- Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete these projects. This will include developing project schedules, budget estimation, selecting equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
- We lead in safety by embracing the IIF (Incident and Injury Free) culture. Lead IIF through safety efforts including pre-task planning, and preparation and compliance with approved safety plan.
- Take action to resolve operational problems (e.g., staffing/resources) and minimize delays.
- Coordinate and direct field personnel, office staff, and subcontractors to complete the project.
- Coordinate with accounting for financial management of business intelligence, invoicing and collections.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills Needed:
- Ability to independently analyze and interpret analytical data, technical reports, technical guidance documents, and governmental regulations pertaining to environmental contamination.
- Strong technical writing skills including written reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information verbally and respond to questions from managers and clients.
- Demonstrate strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with a strong work ethic.
- Strong experience with environmental investigation (including field data collection) and remediation related to commercial/industrial, transportation and energy clients.
- Strong communication skills.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or environmental engineering work.
- OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper and current annual refresher.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical discipline practices including Geology, Engineering or Environmental Science.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
A EIT/PE or GIT/PG or other professional certification is preferred but not required.
COMPENSATION
- Maximum Salary: 108,240.00
- Minimum Salary: 84,920
