Equipment Maintenance Technician Jobs in Fremont, CA

• Supervise hourly mobile maintenance and fabrication technicians with day-to-day production support, in-house repairs, and daily task direction
• Oversee preventative maintenance and repairs on mobile equipment, including dollies, racks, and related manufacturing support items
• Manage scheduling for PTO, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Develop SOPs, methods, and documentation covering procedures, periodic maintenance, equipment changes, safety/quality controls, and trend analysis
• Assist with budget development, reporting, recommendations, PO approvals, and spare parts inventory including identification, ordering, and tracking
• Establish systems for 100% on-time project/task completion while overseeing welding/fabrication programs, mobile equipment maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Establish and maintain a positive work environment for non-exempt workers to be productive and fully engaged with Tesla’s Mission, Core Values, and Culture

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Management preferred (equivalent military or industry experience considered if directly relevant)
• 5+ years of supervision and leadership experience with technical, customer-focused teams
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience specializing in troubleshooting breakdowns/failures, welding, fabrication, machining, or related areas
• Proven project management experience with the ability to manage multiple teams, multitask, and oversee KPIs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and CMMS systems for work orders, scheduling, and PM
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and schematics
• Excellent written/verbal communication, people management, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a flexible, positive, innovative attitude
