INTRODUCTION
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 49-3041 Farm Equipment Mechanics and Service Technicians.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions
- Adjust, repair, and service machinery using hand and power tools and notify supervisors of malfunctions
- Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, trucks, vehicles, forklifts, skid steers, feed mill components, augers, conveyors, trailers and various other equipment
- Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments, as necessary
- Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools
- Drive trucks to haul tools and equipment for on-site repair of large machinery
- Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools
- Record details of repairs made and parts used
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Must speak and understand English.
