Finance Analyst Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a finance analyst job in Dallas?
Focus your search on Dallas's core finance employers: major corporate headquarters in Uptown and the Platinum Corridor along the I-635 corridor, regional banks and credit unions in the CBD, and the energy sector firms clustered in Las Colinas. Candidates who stand out typically hold a CFA designation or are actively pursuing it, and have experience with financial modeling in Excel or tools like Hyperion and SAP, which Dallas's large corporate employers use heavily.
Which companies hire finance analysts in Dallas?
Dallas finance analyst roles are posted by Mohawk Industries, UT Southwestern Medical Center, and Dal-Tile and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Dallas draws a wide range of employers, from Fortune 500 corporate headquarters and large regional banks to private equity firms and energy companies that maintain significant finance teams in the metro.
Are there remote finance analyst jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though it depends on the role: analytical and reporting-focused positions tend to be more remote-friendly, while FP&A and treasury roles at Dallas's large corporate employers often require on-site presence. About 32% of finance analyst openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common at the large corporate headquarters concentrated in Uptown and Las Colinas.
How can I get a finance analyst job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is targeting financial analyst rotational programs at the city's large corporate headquarters, including companies in the retail, telecom, and energy sectors that run structured cohort programs for recent graduates. Entry-level titles like junior financial analyst, finance associate, or FP&A coordinator at mid-size firms in the Addison and Frisco submarkets are also accessible stepping stones. A finance or accounting degree from a Dallas-area university and a completed Excel or financial modeling certificate noticeably strengthen local applications.

The sectors hiring the most finance analysts in Dallas are Chemicals & Materials, Technology & Software, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Dallas's role as a corporate relocation destination and energy hub means demand is driven by large headquarters operations and the capital-intensive energy sector, both of which maintain sizable in-house finance teams.
