Strategy Analyst Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategy analyst in Texas?
Most strategy analyst roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field, with an MBA preferred for mid-to-senior positions. Texas does not require a state-issued license to work as a strategy analyst. The most common path is completing a relevant degree, building analytical and modeling skills, and entering through corporate rotational programs or associate strategy roles at large Texas-headquartered firms in energy, technology, or financial services.
How much do strategy analysts make in Texas?
Strategy analysts in Texas earn a median of about $101,400 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $62,730 for the lowest 10% to over $168,420 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire strategy analysts in Texas?
Employers hiring strategy analysts in Texas right now include Amazon, Citi, and DoorDash, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters in Houston and Dallas means large corporations across energy, telecom, and financial services are consistently among the most active hirers in this role.
Which Texas cities have the most strategy analyst jobs?
Dallas, Austin, and Houston account for the largest share of strategy analyst openings in Texas. Houston's dominance in energy and healthcare drives consistent corporate strategy demand, Dallas attracts financial services and telecom firms, and Austin's fast-growing technology sector has made it an increasingly significant market for strategy roles at both established companies and high-growth firms.
Are there remote strategy analyst jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Strategy analyst work is primarily desk-based and output-driven, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 20% of strategy analyst openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. Project-based deliverables such as market analysis, financial modeling, and strategy presentations are the parts of the role most commonly performed fully remote.
How can I get hired as a strategy analyst in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a corporate rotational or leadership development program, which large Texas employers such as ExxonMobil, Deloitte's Dallas and Houston offices, and major Texas-based health systems run specifically for recent graduates. Lateral moves from adjacent roles such as financial analyst, business analyst, or market research associate are a common route in. Completing an Excel or data visualization certification and building a portfolio of case studies strengthens a candidate's profile significantly.
Where can I find and apply to strategy analyst jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to strategy analyst jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring in the state. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly to each one.
