Finance Assistant Jobs in Albuquerque: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a finance assistant job in Albuquerque?
Focus your search on Albuquerque's largest hiring sectors: healthcare systems, federal and state government contractors, and regional financial services firms concentrated in Uptown and Downtown. Candidates who know QuickBooks, Excel, and accounts payable or receivable workflows stand out in this market. Applying directly to hospital networks and government-adjacent contractors tends to move faster than general job postings in Albuquerque.
Which companies hire finance assistants in Albuquerque?
Albuquerque finance assistant roles are posted by PNM, Saranam, and Gap and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market includes a strong mix of healthcare organizations, national defense contractors with Albuquerque offices, and regional credit unions and accounting firms.
Are there remote finance assistant jobs in Albuquerque?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: positions involving on-site document handling or cash management are largely in-person, while accounts payable, bookkeeping support, and financial reporting roles offer more remote flexibility. About 33% of finance assistant openings tied to Albuquerque are remote or hybrid as of July 2026. Hybrid arrangements are most common at larger employers in the Uptown and Northeast Heights office corridors.
How can I get a finance assistant job in Albuquerque with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Albuquerque is through accounts payable or billing coordinator roles at local healthcare systems or government contractors, which routinely hire candidates with an associate degree or community college coursework in accounting. Central New Mexico Community College graduates are a common pipeline into these entry-level openings. Familiarity with a major ERP or accounting platform, even from coursework, gives applicants a concrete edge over other entry-level candidates.
