Job Description:
Title: Financial Controller
Reports to: Regional Controller
Location: Yorktown, IN
Primary Purpose of Role
The Finance Controller is a key member of the leadership team acting as a strategic business partner to operations. The role ensures financial integrity, performance steering and compliance, while supporting decision-making, risk evaluation and value creation initiatives. The position covers full financial ownership including reporting, planning, cost control, analysis and governance.
Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance: Responsible for full set of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and KPIs. Ensure accuracy, integrity and timeliness of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting. Manage statutory reporting, tax packages and compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP. Ensure full compliance with internal policies, SOX and control framework. Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely issue resolution.

Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management: Lead annual operating plan, strategic plan and rolling forecast cycles. Perform detailed variance analysis (Actual vs Plan/Forecast) and drive corrective actions. Monitor profitability, cost structure and cash flow performance. Define and track KPIs to drive operational and financial performance. Support CAPEX planning, investment cases and post-investment follow up.

Business Partnering: Act as financial advisor to General Manager and leadership team. Provide insights on business trends, risks and opportunities. Support commercial, pricing and operational decisions with data-driven analysis. Challenge assumptions and drive accountability for financial results. Ensure alignment between financial targets and operational execution.

Cost Control & Continuous Improvement: Drive cost control initiatives across manufacturing and operations. Improve transparency on cost drivers and profitability levers. Lead process standardization and efficiency improvements. Enhance financial tools, reporting systems and data quality.

Risk Management & Governance: Identify and monitor financial and operational risks. Ensure mitigation plans are defined and executed. Safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate governance. Maintain strong control environment and ethical standards.

Team Leadership: Coordinate Controllers of smaller or satellite plants, ensuring alignment in reporting, controls, and performance management. Lead and develop finance team members and controlling resources. Foster performance culture and talent development. Coordinate with shared service centers and regional finance teams. Promote cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business; MBA preferred
- 5–10+ years experience in finance/controlling in multinational industrial environment
- Strong experience in financial reporting, planning and cost accounting
- Exposure to manufacturing environment highly preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and reporting tools (Hyperion or similar)
