SOFTWARE ENGINEER PRINCIPAL

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Software Engineer Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission. The Software Engineer Principal will design, develop, code, test, and debug complex software products, or make significant enhancements to existing software. The ideal candidate is a hands-on platform builder with significant experience in developing scalable software applications, with experience in analytics using large data sets. They must have strong, firsthand technical expertise in a variety of configuration management and big data technologies and the proven ability to fashion robust solutions that can manage large data sets. They must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Engineer must have:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and work/military experience.
- Experience: 8+ years of related experience
- Security clearance level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- US citizenship required
- Role requirements: • Demonstrated hands-on experience with modern programming languages including Java, JavaScript, and Python. • Demonstrated hands-on experience developing with cloud-based services such as AWS. • Demonstrated hands-on experience with developing and implementing microservices architecture using Spring Boot. • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Linux.

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $124,093 - $142,706. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
