ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide engineering services and project management from project initiation through completion.
- Utilize established project management tools and effectively delegate responsibilities to staff engineers.
- Perform engineering analysis for residential, commercial, and municipal projects and provide recommendations to clients.
- Prepare and review structural design calculations, engineering models, drawings, and plans.
- Design structures using steel, timber, and reinforced concrete.
- Evaluate construction materials and select appropriate materials based on project requirements.
- Use engineering and design software to perform project analysis and develop solutions.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders to develop coordinated designs.
- Conduct and oversee geotechnical studies, including foundation analysis, slope stability, pavement design, and earth retention.
- Plan and participate in field and subsurface investigations.
- Perform testing and sampling of geotechnical materials.
- Log borings and review field and laboratory testing results for use in engineering analysis and technical reports.
- Prepare project plans, engineering reports, letters, proposals, and other technical documentation.
- Review and approve engineering calculations, reports, recommendations, letters, and plans prepared by staff engineers.
- Provide professional oversight and stamp engineering documents as required.
- Maintain strong and professional relationships with clients.
