Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Regional Distribution Manager
Document your supply chain credentials precisely
PERM requires your employer to prove your qualifications match the posted job requirements exactly. Gather degree transcripts, professional certifications like APICS or CSCMP credentials, and letters documenting supervisory scope before the labor certification process starts.
Target employers with active distribution networks
Large CPG, retail, and logistics companies with multiple regional distribution centers are far more likely to have in-house immigration counsel and established PERM filing workflows than smaller operators who may never have sponsored a foreign worker.
Search green card sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters Regional Distribution Manager openings by employers with green card sponsorship history, saving you from applying to roles where PERM is not an option. Start your search there before outreach begins.
Verify the prevailing wage before negotiating your offer
DOL sets your minimum salary through the OFLC Wage Search, and your employer must pay at least that amount throughout the PERM process. Knowing your Level II or Level III prevailing wage lets you negotiate above it without jeopardizing the petition.
Ask employers about their PERM recruitment timeline upfront
PERM requires employers to run a full recruitment audit, including print and online advertising, before filing. That process typically takes six to twelve months before an I-140 is even submitted, so confirm whether your employer has started or is prepared to start.
Use O*NET to align your job description with EB-3 requirements
The O*NET occupation profile for distribution and logistics managers defines the standard duties and degree requirements USCIS expects to see. Your employer's job posting must match that profile closely enough to survive a PERM audit or RFE.

Find Regional Distribution Manager JobsRegional Distribution Manager Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Regional Distribution Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Most Regional Distribution Manager positions qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration. If your employer requires a master's degree or you hold an advanced degree with specialized credentials, the role may support an EB-2 petition instead. The job description filed with PERM determines which category applies.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for this role?
H-1B is temporary, capped at 65,000 annually, and requires lottery selection. EB-3 green card sponsorship through PERM has no annual cap on petitions filed, leads to permanent residency rather than a renewable temporary status, and is employer-initiated from the start. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM and I-140 processing typically takes one to two years before you reach adjustment of status, longer for nationals of India and China due to visa backlog.
Which employers sponsor green cards for Regional Distribution Manager jobs?
Companies with large, established distribution networks, including major retailers, CPG manufacturers, third-party logistics providers, and e-commerce fulfillment operators, are the most active PERM sponsors for this role. These organizations have internal immigration teams and recurring need for experienced distribution managers. Use Migrate Mate to search for Regional Distribution Manager openings specifically at employers with documented green card sponsorship history.
What is the PERM process and how does it affect my job search?
PERM, the Program Electronic Review Management system administered by DOL, requires your employer to conduct a formal recruitment process demonstrating no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role. This process runs six to twelve months before the I-140 petition is filed with USCIS. You can negotiate and accept a job offer before PERM starts, but your employer must be willing to commit to this timeline and cost upfront.
Can I switch employers after my green card sponsorship is started?
If your I-140 has been approved and is at least 180 days old, AC21 portability lets you move to a new employer in the same or similar occupational category without losing your priority date. For Regional Distribution Manager roles, a move to a comparable logistics or operations management position at a new company generally qualifies. Your new employer does not need to restart the PERM process from scratch under these conditions.
