Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Supply Chain Planning
Document your specialty occupation credentials early
PERM requires your employer to define a minimum degree requirement for the role. Gather transcripts, credential evaluations, and any advanced-degree documentation now so your qualifications align cleanly with the job description before the labor certification is filed.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search OFLC disclosure data for companies that have filed PERM applications under supply chain or logistics SOC codes. Employers already running PERM pipelines have legal infrastructure in place and are far more likely to sponsor a new hire.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Filter your search by employers with verified green card sponsorship history in supply chain planning. Migrate Mate surfaces PERM filing data by role and company so you can focus your applications on employers already in the sponsorship process.
Understand how EB-2 versus EB-3 affects your timeline
EB-2 applies if the role requires an advanced degree or you hold a master's in supply chain, operations research, or a related field. EB-3 covers roles requiring a bachelor's degree. Your country of birth determines which priority date queue you enter.
Negotiate job description scope before PERM filing
The PERM labor certification locks in your job duties and minimum requirements. If your actual role spans demand planning, procurement, and logistics analytics, work with your employer to define duties broadly enough that future promotions don't trigger a new filing.
Verify prevailing wage before accepting an offer
DOL sets a prevailing wage for your specific role and location using the OFLC Wage Search. Your offer must meet or exceed that wage level for the PERM to be certified. Mismatches at this stage can delay or invalidate the entire green card process.
Green Card Supply Chain Planning: Frequently Asked Questions
Do supply chain planning roles commonly qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Yes. Supply chain planning roles typically qualify for EB-3 when the position requires a bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, or a related field. They can qualify for EB-2 when the role requires an advanced degree or when the employer can demonstrate that the candidate's credentials meet that higher standard. Both paths go through PERM labor certification before the I-140 petition is filed.
How does the PERM green card process differ from H-1B sponsorship for supply chain professionals?
H-1B visa is a temporary work visa, subject to an annual lottery and a six-year maximum stay without an approved I-140. PERM-based green card sponsorship is permanent, has no annual cap at the petition level, and leads directly to lawful permanent residency. The tradeoff is processing time: PERM plus I-140 plus adjustment of status typically takes one to three years for most countries, longer for India and China due to priority date backlogs.
Where can I find supply chain planning jobs that offer green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search for supply chain planning roles specifically filtered by employers with verified PERM filing history. Because most job postings don't advertise green card sponsorship directly, searching by employer sponsorship data rather than job description keywords gives you a much more accurate picture of which companies will actually support the process.
What does the PERM labor certification process require from my employer in a supply chain role?
Your employer must conduct a DOL-supervised recruitment process to demonstrate that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the position. They post the job, document all applications received, and certify the prevailing wage through the OFLC Wage Search. For supply chain roles, the job description must specify the degree requirement and duties precisely, since any changes after certification require starting over.
Can I switch supply chain employers while my green card is in process?
Yes, under AC21 portability rules, you can change employers if your I-485 adjustment of status application has been pending for 180 days or more and the new role is in the same or a similar occupational classification. For supply chain professionals, a move from demand planning at one company to inventory strategy at another would generally qualify, but your immigration attorney should confirm the SOC code alignment before you make the switch.
