Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in And Operations Planning
Translate your credentials into U.S. equivalents
If your operations planning degree comes from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved service before applying. Employers filing PERM need to confirm your education meets the job's minimum requirements, and unevaluated foreign degrees slow that process down.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search OFLC's public disclosure data for companies that have previously sponsored PERM applications in supply chain, demand planning, or production scheduling roles. Repeat filers already have internal processes and legal counsel in place, which shortens your path to an I-140.
Clarify the EB tier before accepting an offer
EB-2 requires a job defined as needing an advanced degree; EB-3 covers roles requiring a bachelor's degree or two years of training. Ask the employer which category they plan to file under before signing an offer, since the prevailing wage obligation and PERM documentation differ between tiers.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Operations planning spans dozens of SOC codes and industry classifications, making it hard to filter job postings by actual green card intent. Use Migrate Mate to surface employers with documented EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history specifically in planning and operations functions.
Verify prevailing wage before the offer stage
PERM requires your employer to pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search tool to look up the wage level for your SOC code before negotiations, so you aren't surprised by a wage adjustment after the labor certification is filed.
Account for PERM recruitment timelines in your planning
DOL requires employers to run a mandatory recruitment campaign before filing PERM, typically taking 60 to 90 days. Factor this into your employment start date and any current visa expiration, and confirm with the employer whether they'll file for concurrent I-140 and I-485 if your priority date allows.

Find And Operations Planning JobsAnd Operations Planning Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Do And Operations Planning roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Both categories apply depending on how the employer defines the position. EB-2 covers roles that genuinely require an advanced degree, such as a master's in supply chain or industrial engineering. EB-3 covers roles where a bachelor's degree or two years of specialized training is the stated minimum. Most mid-level operations planning positions qualify under EB-3, while senior or analytical roles with graduate-level requirements may support EB-2.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for operations planning professionals?
H-1B is a temporary nonimmigrant status, capped annually at 85,000 with a competitive lottery. PERM leads to permanent residency with no annual cap at the EB-3 level for most countries, though EB-2 and EB-3 backlogs affect applicants born in India and China. PERM requires DOL-supervised recruitment proving no qualified U.S. workers were available, and the process typically takes one to three years before you can file for adjustment of status.
What does the PERM process look like for an operations planning hire?
Your employer files a PERM application with DOL after completing a mandatory recruitment period, usually 60 to 90 days. DOL reviews whether the job requirements are legitimate and whether the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the role and location. Once certified, the employer files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. If your priority date is current, you can file I-485 to adjust status to lawful permanent resident.
How can I find And Operations Planning employers who sponsor green cards?
Not all employers disclose green card sponsorship intent in job postings, and filtering for it manually across generic job boards is difficult. Migrate Mate aggregates employers with documented EB-2 and EB-3 filing history, letting you target companies that have already sponsored operations and planning roles rather than relying on self-reported claims in job descriptions.
Can my employer file PERM if I'm currently on H-1B or OPT?
Yes. PERM is independent of your current nonimmigrant status. Employers can begin the PERM process while you're on H-1B, OPT, or any other valid status. The key constraint is timing: your current status must remain valid through the PERM and I-140 stages, and potentially through I-485 adjudication. H-1B holders can also use AC21 portability to change employers after 180 days if the I-140 is already approved.
