Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Production Supervisor
Match your credentials to PERM requirements
PERM requires your education and experience to match the job description exactly. If your degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation completed before applying so employers can confirm your qualifications meet DOL standards.
Target manufacturers with E-Verify enrollment
E-Verify-enrolled manufacturers are more accustomed to employment verification and immigration compliance workflows. Production Supervisor roles in food processing, automotive, and electronics manufacturing generate the most PERM filings in this occupation category.
Find sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Search Production Supervisor roles with green card sponsorship history on Migrate Mate. Filtering by employers with active PERM filings in manufacturing saves you from pursuing companies that have never navigated the labor certification process.
Verify the prevailing wage before negotiations
PERM requires your offered wage to meet or exceed the DOL prevailing wage for your specific location and job duties. Use the OFLC Wage Search tool to check the wage level before salary discussions so there are no surprises during labor certification.
Understand PERM recruitment timing after your offer
After an offer is accepted, your employer must complete a DOL-mandated recruitment period before filing PERM. This typically adds several months before the I-140 petition stage, so plan your current status timeline accordingly.

Find Production Supervisor JobsProduction Supervisor Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Production Supervisor jobs qualify for green card sponsorship?
Yes. Production Supervisor is classified as a skilled worker occupation under EB-3, which covers roles requiring at least two years of training or experience. Candidates with a relevant bachelor's degree or higher may also qualify under EB-2 if the employer can document that the position genuinely requires an advanced degree. Both pathways require the employer to complete PERM labor certification with DOL before filing the I-140 immigrant petition.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
Green card sponsorship through PERM and I-140 leads to permanent residency rather than a temporary work visa. Unlike the H-1B, EB-3 has no annual lottery, so your petition isn't subject to random selection. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification alone takes several months, and priority date backlogs vary by country of birth. For nationals of countries without significant backlog, EB-3 can be a more reliable long-term path than repeating the H-1B lottery cycle.
What does the PERM process involve for Production Supervisor roles?
Your employer must demonstrate through a formal recruitment process that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the position at the prevailing wage set by DOL. This includes job postings, documentation of applicant reviews, and a final PERM application to the Office of Foreign Labor Certification. The job description filed with PERM must accurately reflect your actual duties and the minimum requirements for the role, which directly affects whether you qualify.
How can I find employers who sponsor green cards for Production Supervisor positions?
Migrate Mate lets you search Production Supervisor roles specifically filtered by employers with green card sponsorship history. Focusing on manufacturers with established immigration programs, particularly in sectors like automotive, food production, and consumer electronics, significantly narrows your list to companies already familiar with the PERM and I-140 process. Approaching HR teams with knowledge of their prior filings also strengthens your negotiating position.
Can I use O*NET to understand what USCIS expects for this occupation?
O*NET provides the official occupational profile for Production Supervisors, including typical education levels, core tasks, and required skills. USCIS and DOL reference occupational classifications when evaluating whether a job qualifies under a specific employment-based category. Reviewing the O*NET profile before your employer drafts the PERM job description helps ensure the duties listed align with what adjudicators expect to see for this occupation.
