About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About The Role
Applied AI (AAI) is responsible for helping Anthropic's customers go from first contact with Claude to durable, expanding usage — and this team is the strategic and analytical backbone behind that motion. As the Strategy & Operations Business Partner for AAI AMER, you'll work side-by-side with regional field engineering leadership as a deep expert in the business: the metrics, the segments, the deals, and the trends that matter most to driving growth. This is a high-autonomy, high-trust role. You'll partner directly with senior commercial leaders, build frameworks and operating rhythms, and translate ambiguous strategic questions into clear, actionable recommendations — then help carry those recommendations through to execution. You'll be one of the first people in this function, so you should be energized by building processes and structure from the ground up rather than inheriting them.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with AAI AMER leadership to build and evolve foundational metrics dashboards, and establish the operating rhythm for ongoing business reviews
- Lead the monthly business review process for your assigned segment(s) — from metric gathering through analysis and synthesis for leadership
- Partner with central Revenue Operations to define and standardize key metrics across segments as the business grows in complexity
- Develop a use case framework grounded in real signal — current CRM data, joining sales calls and pitch clinics, reviewing key customers, and working directly with the AAI team
- Build comprehensive segment analyses and strategy recommendations, identifying quick wins and prioritization frameworks, and help kick off the strategic initiatives that follow from approved recommendations
- Build strong relationships with regional leaders and act as a trusted, embedded thought partner
- Support GTM QBRs and related cross-functional workstreams as needed
- Design and implement improved processes for tracking and reporting on team priorities and strategic initiatives, and represent that work to stakeholders across the company
Minimum Qualifications
- Background in sales strategy, revenue operations, or management consulting, including direct experience in a commercial role (this is broad — presales, customer-facing, partnerships, and founder experience can all qualify)
- Strong analytical capabilities with a track record of converting data into actionable, well-supported recommendations
- Experience with GTM systems and business intelligence tools
- Proven ability to build trust and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
- Experience designing and managing strategic planning processes and business reviews
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in sales strategy, revenue operations, or management consulting
- Experience in high-growth technology companies in GTM or sales-adjacent roles, particularly supporting a consumption-based or usage-driven business model
- Experience at AI/ML companies or in enterprise software sales
- Experience building frameworks for sales use cases or value propositions
- Background supporting sales organizations through 2-3x+ growth periods
- Candidates without direct commercial ownership experience will still be considered if they have long, deep tenure supporting commercial leaders in a closely comparable GTM model
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary
$270,000—$310,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. How We're Different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Verify your role qualifies as specialty occupation
The H-1B1 visa requires your AI Engineer position to demand a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. Cross-check your offer letter's duties against the O*NET profile for your SOC code before signing anything.
Translate your NUS or NTU transcript for U.S. recruiters
Many U.S. hiring managers don't recognize Singapore's degree structure. A credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator confirms your qualification meets the specialty occupation standard consular officers apply.
Search for employers with active H-1B1 LCA filings
Employers who've filed Labor Condition Applications for H-1B1 Singapore roles have already navigated DOL certification. Use Migrate Mate to filter AI Engineer roles by verified H-1B1 LCA filing history instead of cold-applying to unknown sponsors.
Ask recruiters whether the role is cap-exempt eligible
Certain employers, including nonprofit research institutions and universities, file outside the 5,400 annual cap. If your AI Engineer role is research-focused, confirm cap-exempt status early so the cap never becomes a scheduling constraint.
Request the LCA before your consulate appointment is booked
Your employer must file and receive DOL certification on the LCA before you can apply at the consulate. Delays here are the most common reason H-1B1 visa timelines slip, so confirm the LCA certification date in writing upfront.
Benchmark your offered salary against OFLC Wage Search
The LCA must certify you'll be paid at least the prevailing wage for your SOC code and work location. Run your job title and city through OFLC Wage Search yourself so you can flag a non-compliant offer before the employer files.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does an AI Engineer role qualify for the H-1B1 Singapore visa?
Yes, provided the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a directly related field. Generic titles like 'AI Engineer' vary widely, so the consular officer will look at the actual duties. Roles requiring original model development, neural architecture design, or ML infrastructure engineering consistently satisfy the specialty occupation standard.
How does the H-1B1 Singapore visa compare to H-1B for AI Engineers?
The H-1B1 visa has no lottery, so you're not gambling on a roughly 25% selection rate the way H-1B applicants are. The 5,400 annual cap for Singaporeans has never been exhausted, and you apply directly at the U.S. consulate rather than waiting for USCIS to adjudicate a petition. The tradeoff is that H-1B1 doesn't confer dual intent, meaning it's harder to pursue a green card concurrently from this status.
How do I find AI Engineer employers who actually sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas?
Migrate Mate filters AI Engineer roles by verified H-1B1 visa Labor Condition Application filing history pulled from DOL disclosure data, so you can see which employers have already completed the DOL certification process for Singaporean hires. This cuts out the guesswork of approaching companies that haven't sponsored the visa type before and may not know how.
What documents do Singaporean AI Engineers need for the consulate interview?
You'll need your certified LCA, a support letter from your employer detailing your duties and qualifications, your academic transcripts and degree certificate, and your DS-160 confirmation. If your Singapore degree is a three-year program, bring a credential evaluation from a NACES-recognized evaluator to preempt any question about equivalency to a U.S. four-year bachelor's degree.
Can I switch AI Engineer employers after arriving on an H-1B1 Singapore visa?
Yes, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and receive certification before you start working. There's no H-1B-style portability that lets you begin work on a pending application. You're authorized to work only once the new LCA is certified and your status reflects the new employer, so plan for a gap between offer acceptance and your start date.
