Entry Level Head Of Content Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level head of content job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for a portfolio showing real content work, even if it comes from internships, freelance projects, class assignments, or a personal blog. Familiarity with content calendars, SEO basics, and editorial workflows gives candidates an edge. Tailor your application to show you understand the employer's audience and can manage a content process from idea to publish.
Which companies hire entry level head of contents?
Companies hiring entry level head of contents right now include Nexstar Media Group, Rippling, and TikTok, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, you'll find openings across startups building their content function from scratch, growing mid-size companies, and digital-first brands that need early-career talent to support content strategy and production.
Are there remote entry level head of content jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and industry. About 29% of entry level head of content openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, making this one of the more flexible roles for candidates who aren't near a major market or prefer to work from home while building early career experience.
Are these new grad head of content jobs?
Yes. These listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles that welcome candidates with zero to two years of experience. A new grad friendly posting typically skips hard experience minimums, accepts internship or portfolio work as a substitute, and focuses on skills like writing, content planning, and tool familiarity rather than requiring a proven management history.
Which industries hire the most entry level head of contents?
Entry Level head of content roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Education, and Media & Entertainment, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to invest heavily in content marketing and editorial output, creating consistent demand for early-career candidates who can contribute to strategy and execution without needing years of leadership experience first.
