Entry Level Construction Administrator Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level construction administrator job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates who understand construction documentation, scheduling basics, and project coordination fundamentals. Internship experience, coursework in construction management or civil engineering, and familiarity with tools like Procore or Bluebeam gives candidates a clear edge. Tailoring your resume to highlight any on-site exposure, submittal tracking, or RFI coordination, even from coursework, strengthens your application significantly.
Which companies hire entry level construction administrators?
Companies hiring entry level construction administrators right now include OEG, WSP, and Trueline, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring covers general contractors, specialty subcontractors, engineering consultancies, and real estate developers who regularly bring on junior candidates to support project teams.
Are there remote entry level construction administrator jobs?
Yes, though most construction administrator roles involve some on-site presence. About 17% of entry level construction administrator openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, typically covering document control, submittal processing, and administrative coordination tasks that can be handled off-site. Fully remote openings tend to appear with larger firms managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Are these new grad construction administrator jobs?
Yes, these include new grad, recent graduate, and junior construction administrator roles. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and accepts internships, co-op work, or a portfolio of relevant coursework in place of full-time history. Look for postings that list internship experience as sufficient or describe the role as a training opportunity within a larger project team.
Which industries hire the most entry level construction administrators?
Entry Level construction administrator roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Consulting & Professional Services, and Energy, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive consistent demand at the junior level because active project pipelines require dedicated administrative support for documentation, scheduling coordination, and compliance tracking throughout each build phase.
