Entry Level Supplier Quality Engineer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level supplier quality engineer job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for candidates who understand quality management fundamentals, can read engineering drawings, and are familiar with tools like PPAP, APQP, or basic statistical process control. An internship in manufacturing or supply chain is a strong differentiator. Certifications such as a Quality Technician credential can also signal readiness. Tailor your resume to show any lab work, coursework, or projects tied to supplier evaluation or defect analysis.
Which companies hire entry level supplier quality engineers?
Companies hiring entry level supplier quality engineers right now include Katalyst Healthcares & Life Sciences, Boston Scientific, and VIVA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of large manufacturers, automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, aerospace contractors, and consumer goods companies actively building out their quality teams.
Are there remote entry level supplier quality engineer jobs?
Yes, though most roles at this level are on-site given the hands-on nature of supplier audits and production floor work. About 12% of entry level supplier quality engineer openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, typically in roles focused on documentation, supplier communications, or data analysis rather than direct inspection duties.
Are these new grad supplier quality engineer jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior supplier quality engineer roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or co-op work in place of full-time history, or lists a degree in engineering or a related field as the primary qualification. A portfolio showing quality projects, audits, or process improvement work strengthens any new grad application.
Which industries hire the most entry level supplier quality engineers?
Entry level supplier quality engineer roles concentrate in Manufacturing, Consulting & Professional Services, and Automotive, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive demand at the entry level because they depend heavily on regulated supply chains, component reliability, and ongoing supplier audits that benefit from dedicated quality staff even at the junior level.
