Entry Level Provider Network Management Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level provider network management job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates with exposure to healthcare operations, credentialing processes, or contract administration, even through coursework or internships. A degree in health administration, business, or a related field helps, but demonstrated familiarity with provider data management, network adequacy concepts, or claims workflows gives candidates a real edge over applicants with no healthcare context at all.
Which companies hire entry level provider network managements?
Companies hiring entry level provider network managements right now include OSF HealthCare, WellSpan Health, and CVS Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Health plans, managed care organizations, and third-party administrators tend to drive the most entry level hiring in this function, particularly as they scale credentialing and contract teams.
Are there remote entry level provider network management jobs?
Yes, though the mix varies by employer. About 9% of entry level provider network management openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with health plans and national managed care organizations more likely to offer flexible arrangements than regional hospital systems or smaller credentialing firms that prefer in-office coordination.
Are these new grad provider network management jobs?
Yes. Many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that welcome recent graduates with zero to two years of experience, including internship or practicum work. A new grad friendly posting typically does not require prior full-time network management experience and accepts a relevant degree, a portfolio of academic projects, or a credentialing internship as qualifying background.
Which industries hire the most entry level provider network managements?
Entry Level provider network management roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Non-Profit & Social Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Those sectors drive demand at this level because they maintain large provider panels that require ongoing credentialing, contract tracking, and network adequacy reporting, functions that entry level staff are routinely brought in to support.
