Who's Hiring

Healthcare Project Manager Jobs in Boston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a healthcare project manager job in Boston?
Focus your search on the Longwood Medical Area, where academic medical centers, research hospitals, and biotech organizations cluster, and on the Seaport and downtown corridors, where digital health startups and health IT consultancies concentrate. Candidates with PMP certification, Epic or Cerner implementation experience, or a background in clinical operations tend to stand out in Boston's market, where employers expect familiarity with complex, matrixed healthcare environments.
Which companies hire healthcare project managers in Boston?
Employers hiring healthcare project managers in Boston right now include HGA, Pointr, and Gilbane, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Boston's hiring base is unusually broad, mixing large academic health systems, specialty hospitals, health insurance carriers, and a growing cohort of venture-backed digital health companies.
Are there remote healthcare project manager jobs in Boston?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role: clinical and on-site implementation positions are rarely fully remote, while program coordination, analytics, and payer-side project management are far more flexible. About 100% of healthcare project manager openings tied to Boston are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, reflecting that mix. Health IT and consulting roles based in Boston tend to offer the most consistent remote or hybrid arrangements.
How can I get a healthcare project manager job in Boston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Boston is through coordinator or analyst roles inside a large health system or academic medical center, particularly in the Longwood Medical Area, where internal mobility into project management is common. Boston's teaching hospitals and health plans also run rotational and administrative fellowship programs that place early-career candidates directly into project-adjacent work. Building familiarity with Epic or Cerner and earning a CAPM or PMP certification significantly improves competitiveness for those first roles.
