Senior Level Hotel Operations Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level hotel operations manager job?
Employers at this level want candidates who have managed multi-department operations, not just a single function. Demonstrating that you have owned property-wide KPIs, led department heads through a renovation or rebranding, and built team capacity through coaching will separate you from the field. A record of measurable improvements to guest satisfaction scores or cost efficiency carries particular weight at senior hiring conversations.
Which companies hire senior level hotel operations managers?
Companies hiring senior level hotel operations managers right now include McKibbon Hospitality, MGM Resorts International, and Hyatt, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes primarily from full-service and luxury hotel brands, large resort operators, and hospitality management groups that oversee multiple properties and need experienced leaders who can work across operational functions.
Are there remote senior level hotel operations manager jobs?
Yes, though on-site presence is the norm for most operational roles in hospitality. About 0% of senior level hotel operations manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to be corporate operations roles, regional oversight positions, or consulting engagements rather than property-based general management. If flexibility matters to you, filtering by work setting when you search will surface those openings quickly.
What makes a hotel operations manager role senior level?
Senior level hotel operations manager roles are defined by scope, ownership, and leadership responsibility. Where a mid-level manager oversees one or two departments, a senior role typically covers the full property operation, with direct accountability for financial performance, guest experience metrics, and staff development across all departments. You are also expected to mentor managers below you, contribute to ownership or executive strategy conversations, and lead through change rather than simply execute directives.
Which industries hire the most senior level hotel operations managers?
Senior Level hotel operations manager roles concentrate in Hospitality & Tourism, Media & Entertainment, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors consistently drive demand because they operate large, complex properties where experienced leadership is essential to maintaining service standards, controlling costs, and managing sizable teams across multiple revenue-generating functions.
