The Role:
We are seeking an HR Operations Manager to support the implementation of our new Paylocity HRIS and oversee ongoing HR operations with our outsourced HR consultant. This role will serve as a key liaison between the HR consultant, HRIS vendor, leadership, and internal teams. The HR Operations Manager will help ensure HR processes are efficient, vendors are meeting expectations, SOPs are followed, and issues are identified and resolved quickly.
What you'll do:
HRIS Implementation & Process Management:
- Support the implementation and rollout of Paylocity.
- Coordinate with the HRIS vendor, outsourced HR consultant, IT, and internal teams.
- Support data migration, testing, training, and implementation timelines.
- Update HR processes and SOPs to align with the new HRIS.
- Monitor implementation progress and identify potential risks or delays.
HR Vendor & Consultant Management:
- Serve as the primary internal contact for the outsourced HR consultant.
- Monitor vendor and consultant performance, service levels, and deliverables.
- Ensure HR processes and SOPs are consistently followed.
- Monitor vendors supporting payroll, benefits, 401(k), and other HR services.
- Identify service gaps and coordinate corrective action when needed.
HR Operations & Coordination:
- Serve as a liaison between HR, leadership, IT, Finance, employees, and external vendors.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks or issues within HR processes.
- Coordinate key annual HR initiatives, including open enrollment, performance management, and required training.
- Maintain and update HR SOPs and process documentation.
- Support employee communications related to HR processes and Paylocity.
Reporting & Leadership Support:
- Prepare regular reports on HR operations, HRIS implementation, vendor performance, and key risks.
- Track HR metrics such as turnover, open positions, compliance issues, and employee relations matters.
- Provide leadership with visibility into HR service quality and areas for improvement.
- Recommend improvements to HR processes, vendor performance, and HRIS functionality.
Who we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7–10+ years of experience in HR operations, operations management, vendor management, or project coordination.
- Experience with HRIS implementation or other software/system implementations strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of core HR processes and terminology.
- Experience managing external vendors, consultants, or service providers.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with experience working with senior leadership.
- Strong attention to detail and process orientation.
- Ability to identify problems, coordinate solutions, and keep projects moving forward.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
