Who's Hiring

HVAC Jobs in Memphis: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a hvac job in Memphis?
The strongest hiring in Memphis comes from commercial contractors, property management companies, and healthcare systems, particularly those serving the Medical District and large East Memphis office and retail corridors. Candidates who can demonstrate experience with commercial rooftop units, chiller systems, or building automation stand out. Familiarity with the construction activity around Downtown Memphis and the Shelby County school and municipal facilities pipeline also helps, since those projects generate consistent openings.
Which companies hire hvacs in Memphis?
Companies currently hiring hvacs in Memphis include Nextech, SpaceXAI, and Herc Rentals, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Memphis employers range from regional mechanical contractors serving commercial and industrial accounts to facilities departments within large healthcare networks and logistics operations concentrated along the I-240 and Lamar Avenue corridors.
Are there remote hvac jobs in Memphis?
Remote work is rare for hvac roles because most of the work is hands-on and site-specific. About 0% of hvac openings tied to Memphis are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those tend to be in estimating, project coordination, or technical sales rather than installation or maintenance. Field technician and service roles in Memphis are almost exclusively on-site.
How can I get a hvac job in Memphis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Memphis is applying for a helper or apprentice position with a regional mechanical contractor or through the local JATC apprenticeship program affiliated with Shelby County. Property management companies managing large apartment communities across Midtown and Southeast Memphis also hire entry-level maintenance technicians who cross-train on hvac systems. Showing basic familiarity with hand tools, refrigerant safety, or any HVAC coursework from a trade school separates new applicants.
