American Traveler is hiring a Level II-III experienced RN for a NICU position with day shift hours and required NRP certification.
Details
- Work in a 41-bed NICU within the Women's Services department
- Staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 9+ RNs per shift
- Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4, with 1:4 being rare
- Equipment used includes HFOV, central lines, conventional vents, CPAP, and NIPPV
- Provides ostomy care as part of unit responsibilities
- EMR systems used are CPN and Meditech
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Requires 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to the Nursery
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- NRP must be Advanced 9th Edition
- Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience required
- Level II-III NICU experience required
- Level III-IV NICU experience preferred
- No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment start
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform surgical support (excluding heads/hearts), respiratory support, and MicroPreemie care
- Teamwork-oriented personality is ideal fit for this unit
- Scrub color/attire required is royal blue
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as no local candidates will be accepted
