Job Summary
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you’ll provide direct behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental disorders. You’ll implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) protocols under the direction of a qualified supervisor, support individualized care plans, and build practical skills through teaching and behavior management.
Your impact: Consistent therapy and accurate data help clients build communication, daily living, and other meaningful skills while keeping families and care teams informed.
Duties
- Deliver behavioral therapy in home, school, or other assigned settings, following established protocols and care plans.
- Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), teaching, communication, and behavior management.
- Collect behavioral data, document sessions, and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements.
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, and team members; report progress and concerns to the supervising clinician.
- Follow the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts and applicable safety and privacy practices.
Experience
- Preferred: Current Registered Behavior Technician credential and ability to follow supervisor direction and documented therapy protocols. (We do offer training if you are not certified)
- Preferred: Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, developmental disabilities, autism, or other neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Relevant experience may include home-based behavioral work, school or special education settings, patient care, and applied behavioral analysis (ABA) for children.
- Familiarity with behavioral health, behavioral data collection, medical documentation, medical terminology, and client communication is an asset.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
