Registered Behavior Technician Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a registered behavior technician in Colorado?
To become a registered behavior technician in Colorado, you must complete the Behavior Analyst Certification Board's RBT requirements: a high school diploma or equivalent, a completed 40-hour training program, a competency assessment supervised by a qualified BCBA, and passing the RBT exam. Colorado does not issue a separate state license for RBTs, so your BACB certification is the recognized credential that Colorado employers hire against.
Which companies hire registered behavior technicians in Colorado?
Companies currently hiring registered behavior technicians in Colorado include Alpaca Health, Heartland ABA, and Achieve ABA Therapy, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Colorado's large network of autism services agencies and behavioral health organizations means steady openings across the Denver metro, Colorado Springs, and the Front Range corridor.
Which Colorado cities have the most registered behavior technician jobs?
Denver, Colorado Springs, and Aurora have the most registered behavior technician openings in Colorado. Denver drives the largest share of demand given its concentration of ABA therapy agencies and behavioral health organizations, while Colorado Springs and the surrounding suburban communities generate consistent hiring through school districts and home-based service providers serving growing family populations along the Front Range.
Are there remote registered behavior technician jobs in Colorado?
Yes, but they're rare. Registered behavior technician work is fundamentally hands-on and requires direct, in-person interaction with clients, so remote roles are the exception rather than the norm. About 0% of registered behavior technician openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions typically involve telehealth parent training or data review rather than direct client sessions.
How can I get hired as a registered behavior technician in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is completing your BACB 40-hour RBT training and applying to agencies that hire candidates before or during the certification process. Colorado-based providers like Autism Learning Partners and Behavioral Framework regularly hire candidates for training cohorts who can start working supervised hours immediately. Adjacent roles such as behavior technician aide, paraprofessional, or special education classroom assistant at Colorado school districts are common lateral moves that build your hours toward RBT eligibility.
Where can I find and apply to registered behavior technician jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to registered behavior technician jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current Colorado openings from employers hiring now. Search the listings for roles that match your certification status, preferred setting, and location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
