Location: UCHealth Leprino Building AMC - Aurora, CO
Department: Nutrition Therapy
Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Summary:
Plans, coordinates, and implements nutrition therapy services for assigned patient populations as a competent-level dietitian.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses patient's nutritional status and needs, deriving nutrition diagnosis from assessment data.
- Develops interventions and plan of care on best available evidence and best practices.
- Assesses patient understanding and compliance with nutrition interventions and plan of care.
- Monitors patient progress; measures and evaluates patient outcomes.
- Participates in and coordinates departmental initiatives relative to patient care.
- May conduct education programs for patients, physicians, nurses, and other health care team members/departments, and/or the public.
- Functions as a preceptor in support of the academic enterprise.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition or related field.
- Required Licensure/Certification: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience in Clinical Nutrition.
