Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of students’ social, emotional, and behavioral health needs using evidence-based practices.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans aligned with Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) frameworks to address varying levels of student needs.
- Provide crisis intervention and management for students experiencing mental health or behavioral emergencies, ensuring safety and stability.
- Collaborate with educators, families, child protective services, and community agencies to coordinate comprehensive support strategies for students with disabilities or in need of child welfare services.
- Facilitate conflict management sessions and cultural diversity counseling to foster an inclusive school climate.
- Assist in navigating special education processes and ensure compliance with educational regulations while advocating for student rights.
- Offer ongoing counseling sessions focused on behavioral health, mental health care, and social skills development to promote positive student outcomes.
