Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Mental Health Therapist to provide on-site therapy services to residents in senior living communities. This is a full-time position with a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule, offering stability and the opportunity to build meaningful therapeutic relationships with aging adults.
Duties
- Provide individual psychotherapy sessions to older adults in assisted living and memory care settings.
- Conduct initial assessments, create treatment plans, and document progress in compliance with clinical and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with facility staff, care coordinators, and family members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Support residents with a range of mental health needs including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, cognitive decline, and adjustment issues.
- Utilize geriatric-appropriate interventions, including CBT, reminiscence therapy, and supportive counseling.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and clinical case reviews as needed.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in line with state licensure and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Required Licensure: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent (independent license required).
- Preferred Experience (not required): Minimum of 1 year providing therapy to older adults or in long-term care settings.
- Skills:
-Strong communication and rapport-building skills with older adults and facility staff.
-Competency in documentation and EHR systems.
-Ability to work independently in a field-based setting with minimal supervision.
-Compassionate, patient, and adaptable in working with aging and cognitively impaired populations.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
