We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Support patients through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and mobility activities.
- Monitor patient progress and report observations to supervising therapists to adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, injury prevention, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
- Participate in discharge planning by providing relevant information on ongoing exercises or therapies needed after formal treatment concludes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care across inpatient, outpatient, or home health settings.
Qualifications
- Certified or licensed Physical Therapy Assistant with relevant state licensure or registration.
- Experience working in home health environments preferred.
