Join Our Design-Driven Team at Elite Home Staging
Elite Home Staging is looking for a creative, design-minded Home Stager / Interior Designer & Sales Representative who has a true passion for interiors, furniture, styling, and transforming spaces.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can walk into an empty or occupied home and immediately see the vision—understanding scale, proportion, color, furniture placement, architectural features, and how to create a cohesive, elevated look that appeals to today's luxury home buyer.
You will combine your interior design talent with sales and relationship-building skills, working directly with homeowners, real estate agents, and industry professionals throughout your assigned territory.
This will be a commission based role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Design & Staging
- Design and style residential properties using furniture, rugs, lighting, artwork, accessories, and décor to create beautiful, cohesive interiors.
- Develop complete room designs based on the home's architecture, size, layout, location, target buyer, and price point.
- Select furniture and décor that complement one another while creating a polished and aspirational look.
- Understand and work confidently across a variety of design aesthetics, including Modern Organic, Modern, Contemporary, Traditional, Transitional, Mid-Century Modern, and Luxury.
- Create balanced spaces with a strong understanding of scale, proportion, color, texture, layering, flow, and functionality.
- Identify a home's strongest architectural and design features and use staging to highlight them.
- Conduct in-person consultations and walk-throughs, providing professional recommendations for how a property should be presented to the market.
- Create staging concepts that photograph beautifully and help potential buyers emotionally connect with the property.
- Assist with installations and ensure every detail—from furniture placement to artwork and accessories—is professionally styled and presentation-ready.
- Work with Elite Home Staging's design software, CRM systems, inventory platforms, and other technology to manage projects efficiently.
Sales & Business Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, homeowners, developers, designers, and other industry professionals.
- Manage and grow a designated sales territory.
- Present staging concepts and proposals with confidence while clearly communicating the value of professional staging.
- Convert design consultations and opportunities into new staging projects.
- Follow up consistently with prospective and existing clients.
- Develop long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
- Represent the Elite Home Staging brand professionally at networking events, real estate offices, and industry functions.
- Utilize social media and other marketing opportunities to promote staging projects and build brand awareness.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate is someone who lives and breathes interior design but also enjoys the excitement of sales and working with people.
You should have:
- A strong eye for interior design, styling, and aesthetics.
- The ability to design an entire room or home using furniture, rugs, lighting, artwork, accessories, and décor.
- A strong understanding of furniture scale, proportion, color, texture, and spatial planning.
- Knowledge of current interior design and home décor trends.
- The ability to identify different design styles and create cohesive interiors.
- Confidence presenting your design vision to clients and explaining why your recommendations will help sell the property.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A natural ability to connect with people and build relationships.
- Strong sales instincts and the confidence to ask for the business.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple properties and projects while maintaining a high standard of design.
- Creativity, confidence, organization, and a strong sense of personal style.
- A self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a territory and build a book of business.
- The ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative, women-led team.
DESIGN EXPERIENCE
Experience in interior design, home staging, residential design, furniture sales, visual merchandising, real estate, or a related creative field is highly valued.
A portfolio or examples of your design work are a plus.

Interior Designer Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a interior designer job in Los Angeles?
The strongest entry point in Los Angeles is through hospitality, luxury residential, and commercial interiors firms, which drive the bulk of local hiring. Concentrations of studios and firms sit in West Hollywood, Culver City, and the Arts District. Candidates who can show a portfolio tailored to high-end or mixed-use projects stand out, as do those with experience on ground-up developments or tenant improvement work common to the LA market.
Which companies hire interior designers in Los Angeles?
Employers hiring interior designers in Los Angeles right now include Gensler, Cuningham, and Vesta, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Los Angeles draws a mix of boutique residential studios, large commercial design firms, hospitality groups, and in-house teams at real estate developers and entertainment companies.
Are there remote interior designer jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though interior designer work is largely hands-on and site-dependent, making full remote roles less common than in desk-based fields. About 20% of interior designer openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, typically for roles focused on space planning, FF&E specification, or design project coordination rather than on-site construction administration.
How can I get a interior designer job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is an assistant designer or design coordinator role at a boutique residential studio or hospitality firm in West Hollywood or Culver City, where smaller teams offer broad exposure early. Staging companies, furniture showrooms on Melrose Avenue, and prop houses that serve the entertainment industry also hire entry-level talent. A strong digital portfolio and familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit give candidates a clear edge locally.
Which industries hire the most interior designers in Los Angeles?
The sectors hiring the most interior designers in Los Angeles are Construction & Real Estate, Fintech, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Los Angeles's concentration of luxury real estate development, hotel and restaurant openings, and entertainment production facilities makes those sectors consistent drivers of local interior design hiring.
